Nobody talks about how much the shaker profile you pick actually changes the entire feel of your kitchen.

Standard, Stepped, Slim Detail, Framed, Cottage, Skinny Half, same family, completely different energy. The profile depth, rail width, and bead detail are what separate a kitchen that feels custom from one that feels like it came off a showroom floor. Swipe through all six and pay attention to how each one shifts the mood. This is the decision most people make last, but it should be one of the first.

The client came in with a vision. We made it actually work.

Dark cabinetry, powder blue beadboard, and a marble countertop. This pantry went from cluttered workroom to the most character-packed room in the house. What made the difference wasn’t just the materials, it was having someone in your corner who knows how to pull a concept together and see it through. On time, on budget, and zero contractor chaos. That’s the job.

The right designer doesn’t just make it look good, they make the whole process feel easy. Links in bio to get started.

A Birkin sits in a closet. This kitchen gets used every single day.

Custom cabinetry, intentional materials, a layout that actually works for your life. This is what investing in your home looks like. No trendy shortcuts, no builder-grade anything. Just a space that’s been designed to last and thought through down to the last detail. Some splurges depreciate. This one doesn’t.

The most expensive renovation mistake isn’t hiring a designer…it’s not hiring one.

Tile laid wrong. Cabinets ordered in the wrong finish. A layout that “made sense on paper” but kills the flow of your kitchen. These are real mistakes that cost real money, and they happen when experience isn’t in the room. A designer doesn’t just make your space look good. We prevent the $8,000 errors before they happen.

Your renovation budget deserves to be spent on the design, not the do-overs. Link in bio to get started.

Just a few things I’ll never get tired of hearing.

At the end of the day, I love creating homes that actually feel like you. The best projects always come from trust, collaboration, and a shared vision.

comparisons and the mid-demo job site shots, there are exactly three good photos. The rest is research. This is what it actually looks like to care about materials. A camera roll full of close-ups nobody asked for and blueprints next to coffee cups.

Follow along, the good photos always come too.

Nobody talks about how many decisions go into a kitchen remodel…until you’re in the middle of one.

That annotated photo? That’s one room. One view. And every single one of those details had to be chosen, sourced, and coordinated before a single cabinet was installed. Most homeowners don’t realize the scope until they’re already overwhelmed by it. That’s exactly why we exist.

The most important design project I’ve ever worked on isn’t a kitchen.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there. Today I’m stepping away from the tile samples and cabinet specs and just being present with my kids. Because they’re not just my why, they’re the whole reason for building something of my own.

Back to the good stuff tomorrow.

This is what a bathroom looks like before it becomes a bathroom.

This bathroom mood board is pulling in a cool contemporary direction, concrete counters, slab walnut cabinetry, larger format tile, and black hardware. Here’s the honest part: cool greys can read flat and cold if the other materials don’t balance them out. The walnut is doing a lot of heavy lifting here, and that’s intentional. This is exactly the kind of conversation we have before anything gets ordered.
