I don’t normally share renderings of upcoming projects but this one is so good that it needed to be shared. The inspiration behind this project is a warm, collected feel with simple materials. It’s sophisticated, timeless and evokes a feeling of calm.

When we develop concepts with clients we ask: How do you want your space to feel and the clients answer was “Old world charm, collected but not chaotic” We think we successfully captured this vibe.

Our goal: to make the interior as cute as the exterior

We are about 75% of the way there. We have added on an addition, windows, new plumbing and electrical. And we are now at the finishing line to make the inside match the architecture. We love restoring old homes to their original glory.

Could not be more excited to *level up* this beautiful home.

It has been months in the works of coordination with the architect, builder and the permitting and this home is finally underway.

We are turning the third story into a tween retreat for a very special client and making the staircase to code and adding onto what will be a remarkable en-suite.

Currently the works ⬇️ We have grown FAST…

and are working on a number of exciting projects in the north shore of Chicago. 6 currently underway and 2 about to enter the construction phase. This week we submitted 1 proposal for an addition to a beautiful historic house we are prepping a big proposal for a complete 1st story remodel on a classic Georgian.

I was also honored to be a part of the Glencoe golf club redesign and being recognized for Flax-Design’s contribution to the architecture, interiors, furniture and finishes.

All the while working on a remote design project in AZ and a number of home refresh’s in the north shore area.

If you have a project in mind and are in the process of contractor bids now is the time to reach out because the designer’s work needs to be done before the bids are in and the wheels are in motion.

We are pleased to also announce we are now a team of 3.
