🌸 What a Week on the Farm! 🌿
As we look back on the last seven days here in the Loess Hills, we are feeling overwhelmed with gratitude. It has been a busy, beautiful, and deeply connecting week, and we want to share the highlights with you.
✨ 1. A Season of Giving Back
We officially kicked off our Fall Customer Appreciation Giveaway! Remember, to be entered, you must follow all rules (Like, Follow, Share, Comment Name) on THE ORIGINAL POST on OUR PAGE. We love saying thank you to our rooted community!
🚚 2. Harvest Deliveries
Tuesday was a massive harvest day for all of our CSA/Subscriptions as we delivered all of our monthly and full summer subscriptions on Wednesday. Your homes and businesses are now filled with the restorative beauty of our fields!
🌻 3. Saturday Pickups & Tours
Saturday morning was full of sunshine and conversation during our bouquet pickup. It was so wonderful to meet new faces, lead spontaneous farm tours, and watch you all connecting with where your flowers are grown.
🌅 4. ✨ The Joy of Sharing Our Fields With You
We hosted two magical U-Pick events! Saturday night, the farm was bathed in the most breathtaking light for our Golden Hour Harvest. Then, Sunday morning, we welcomed you into the fields for Mimosas in the Meadow with one of the best days of weather we have had this summer. 🥂
Watching you all wander the rows, thoughtfully selecting stems, and artfully arranging your own botanical luxury bouquets was pure joy.
🌿 5. Apothecary Connections
One of the best parts of the week was introducing many of you to our specialized Apothecary products. It was wonderful to discuss the powerful holistic and restorative traditions behind the plants we grow.

The late-summer sun is casting a warm, golden glow over the Loess Hills, and here at Howlin Hollar Farm, our Lisianthus rows have suddenly burst into full, glorious bloom. Growing these beauties is a true labor of love—they start as seeds smaller than a grain of dust in the cold of winter, requiring months of careful nurturing. But standing in the fields today, surrounded by layers of ruffled petals in shades of lavender, deep violet, soft rose, and pure white, every single hour of soil stewardship feels worth it.

As the sun sets on another Valentine’s Day here at Howlin Hollar Farm, our hearts are just feeling so full. We’ve spent the day reflecting on how lucky we are to have this little slice of earth and such an incredible community of flower lovers to share it with.

The porch crew definitely made the most of the day! Honking Hannah was the star of the show in her candy heart dress and braids—she really does take her holiday outfit duties seriously. Howlin Harry was right there with her, rocking his tutu and heart boppers like a champ.

And then there was our sweet Daisy, just soaking up the quiet moments and living her best life on the deck. Honestly, she has the right idea—sometimes the best way to celebrate love is just to be still and enjoy the fresh air.

We hope your day was filled with all the things that make you smile, whether it was a quiet moment like Daisy’s or a bit of festive fun. Thank you all for being part of our farm family and for letting us share our world with you.
