🍂The story behind the 2026 Moomin’s Day Mug🍂
The limited-edition Moomin’s Day 2026 Mug celebrates the glowing beauty of Nordic fall in warm yellow, ochre, and brown hues. The Moomins are gathering hay and pine needles to prepare for their annual winter hibernation amidst falling leaves and the low-lying Nordic sun. The design is based on author and illustrator Tove Jansson’s 1955 comic strip: Moomin’s Winter Follies.

The mug completes the four seasons of Moomin’s Day mugs and also marks the very last Moomin mug design by illustrator Tove Slotte. Tove Slotte reinterpreted Tove Jansson’s original illustrations atop 113 Moomin mugs for Arabia before retiring after a successful 30+ year career.
