Congratulations to our 2026 Annual Awards Dinner nominees!

Day in the life of a mom + boutique owner 〰️

Lots of filming content, steaming clothes, runs to UPS, and time with customers before switching back into mom mode for school pickup, homework, dinner, and time with my husband + girls.

Being a small business owner can seem glamorous at times from the outside, but it requires juggling multiple job titles daily (+ lots of coffee!)

I say no to things often in order to protect our home life, and always aim for making life simpler where I can.

It’s a busy season for our family, but so thankful for these days! 🤎

“Cost per Wear”

A principle I encourage customers to use when shopping (and use very often myself!) is the idea of “Cost per wear”.

When adding to your wardrobe, it’s sometimes tough to invest in the pricier pieces upfront, but I always estimate my total cost per wear of a piece.

If something costs $200, but I know I’ll wear it 10 times within a month, then that has excellent cost per wear versus a $200 item that I can only wear once a month.

This principle helps you to navigate overspending on items that don’t actually extend your wardrobe and are only for special occasions.

Items that usually have a great cost per wear are: denim, boots, purses, jackets, and heirloom jewelry.

Sometimes it’s worth it to invest in a piece that you will love and be able to wear for more than one season!
