Job Summary:
The Facilities Janitor will assist in maintaining indoor and outdoor facility cleanliness by improving curb appeal, completing minor repairs, and completing necessary Porter responsibilities.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Responsible for the overall cleaning and appearance of the building inside & outside.
Cleans offices, restrooms, laundry rooms, parking lot and public access areas and all meeting rooms as directed. This includes but is not limited to sweeping, mopping, shampooing ,dusting, and vacuuming and trash removal.
Cleans Facilities shop rooms & storage rooms completely.
Keeps main entrance and public access areas clean and maintains them according to Healthcare standards. Ensures all areas are free of debris.
Inspects property, cleans, picks up trash and debris, and reports any safety hazards or repair needs to Facilities Supervisor.
Sweeps walkways, entryways, and hallways. Washes down parking lot sidewalks and other cement areas.
Ensures external light fixtures are in working order. Cleans lights and globes in common area.
Ensure all areas are cleaned as directed in a timely manner in accordance with company policy.
Performs minor Facilities repairs.
Cleans trash dumpsters and surrounding areas.
Assists with removal of furniture, appliances, and debris from areas to dumpster or storage.
Visually inspects building inside & outside and reports any damage to Facilities Supervisor.
Wipes down walls and signage.
Cleans and mops laundry room when needed.
Coordinates with Facilities Supervisor to maintain inventory of supplies required to perform job.
Maintains the Facilities Porter storage room in a neat and organized fashion.
Reports any Facilities concerns or repairs in meeting rooms and/or common areas to the Facilities Supervisor.
Provides assistance to Facilities staff and other staff members as needed.
Maintains open communication with Facilities Supervisor.
Represent Healthcare AZ and the in a professional manner. Maintain a positive businesslike attitude in person and on the telephone. Dress in a neat, clean, professional manner and adhere to appropriate grooming.

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED
Prior experience in facilities preferred, but not required
Physical Requirements:
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and make fine discriminations in sound.
The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, thoroughness of work.
The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
The worker is subject to noise: There is sufficient noise to cause worker to shout in order to be heard above the ambient noise level.
