Happy Wednesday! I wanted to share our latest Treasure with our amazing clients and followers.

🌍MID-CENTRY (1960's) GEORGE F. CRAM. IMPERIAL GLOBE 🌏

📍Vintage mid century authentic George F. Cram Imperial World globe on a tall wooden floor display stand. The base of this piece is made of beautiful solid pinewood. It has four tall wooden legs and a circular wooden ring around the base and the center of the globe. The globe appears to float on the stand and is removable and spin-able thanks to the original metal hardwares. The George F. Cram Company, Inc. company is based in Indianapolis, Indiana. They are a renowned industry leader and publisher / manufacturer of maps, atlases, globes, and related educational supplies. The company has been primarily owned and directed by the Douthit family since 1966 but it's roots trace back to 1867, when a merchant named Rufus Blanchard, originally from Massachusetts, took his nephew George F. Cram into business with him in Evanston, Illinois, near Chicago. They are known for quality and accuracy - this globe does not disappoint! It shows a ton of information and could be used for homework / eduction OR it could be fabulous decor. We acquired it from a large estate in North Carolina. "Cram's Imperial World Globe" is printed on the globe.

📍Condition:
Great vintage condition (including the globe, the wooden base / stand, and the metal hardware). It spins smoothly.

📍Measurements:
total height, including base and globe - 40"
height of just base if globe is removed - 30"
totals width - 16"
diameter of globe - 12"

📍This MID-CENTRY find is Located @ Trinkets and Treasures on the Circle

I wanted to share one of the shops most recent Treasures. Can everyone just take a 👀 at this stunning set(8) of handmade, N.C. originated, round shaker style nesting boxes!

Bentwood boxes such as these were originally used by the Shakers as working-boxes to store dry items such as kitchen ingredients or needlework. They were popular because they stored easily, as a smaller one could be placed inside a larger one. A complete set of seven to nine was a rare luxury, as in most nineteenth century households, one box could cost about a full day’s pay or more. Oval boxes are more readily available than circular boxes.

This Vintage reproduction set is beautiful and when stacked, stands over 30” high. However, when nested together in the largest box, the set compacts to 6” high with a Diameter of 14 1/2"

Come and visit us or message the shop for details. I am Always willing to ship!
