💚A 50-year old WIP

💚 One skein of DMC 320

💚 And a happy ending.

Check out this work-in-progress a customer brought in today.

And its incredible backstory.

Her brother-in-law found it when sorting through some old boxes. His wife had started it in 1976 as a wedding gift for our customer, and never completed it.

When she decided to finish the 50 year old project for herself she ended up running short on Pistachio Green 320 floss.

She brought the remains of the original skein and packaging. And wouldn’t you know. A modern day DMC 320 skein perfectly matches one they made back in 1976.

She is thrilled to be able to finish the project seamlessly with the same DMC color.

Happy endings will always be our favorite!

The Makers Year Exhibition Friday night was a stunning display of projects from all around the area, reinforcing what we already knew. Our community is filled to the brim with talent and creativity!

One attendee said it best:

“The amount of hours collectively spent on all of this is humbling, and reminds me how special it is for all of us to keep these crafts alive for future generations.”

We’ll be sharing more highlights from the festivities here on socials throughout the week, but first the most important part.

Live chain stitch embroidery with Wet Day Fire

Enjoy our Anniversary Collection reveal and the Wet Day Fire pop-up offering hand-cranked “old school” chain stitching custom embroidery services for the day.

What to expect:

🧵Anniversary Collection Reveal: Be one of the first to have the opportunity to shop multiple new store-exclusive products and kits. Including our new store-exclusive Nimble Sock yarn color from .

🧵Bring an item from home or grab one of our new products in-store to have custom embroidered by Wet Day Fire.

🧵Add your monogram, name, short phrase or illustration to bags, bandanas, clothes or whatever else you dream up.

🧵Choose an illustration from the custom stitching options Liana designed just for our little shop celebration! (As shown on first slide)

🧵All embroidery is done freehand by Liana, on the spot, with 100% cotton thread.

🧵$25 for one word / $10 each additional word, and $20-$40 for illustrations.
