So excited to share that we were featured in Better Homes & Gardens ✨

We were asked to share our thoughts on how to bring Nantucket style home, and I kept coming back to the same feeling. It should feel like a long summer afternoon. Unhurried and completely at ease.

Here are a few of my favorite ways to get the Nantucket look, on or off the coast:

Think layers, natural light, bringing the outdoors in, texture, a mix of layered prints, antiques and vintage finds that give a room its soul, warm wood tones, linen, rattan, open and airy spaces, patina finishes, and of course outdoor living.

Nights like this are what it’s all about.

Getting to celebrate the project surrounded by the people who poured so much into it, and those who were able to experience it exactly as we designed it to be, felt incredibly special. There’s something so rewarding about seeing a space come to life and shared with others in this way.

What a wonderful evening celebrating collaboration, sipping good wine, enjoying great food, and connecting with so many talented people. Moments like these are a reminder that the best projects are always the result of incredible teamwork.

Grateful for this project, for the opportunity to work alongside the best, and for everyone who helped make this evening as beautiful as the home itself.

Anne Rae Design is looking for a talented, highly organized Interior Designer to join our growing Michigan-based studio, and we couldn’t be more excited about who might step into this role.

You’ll work closely with the Principal Designer and play an integral part in bringing thoughtfully designed residential and commercial projects to life, from early concepts through final installation.

We’re looking for someone who truly loves both the creative and technical sides of design, has a beautiful attention to detail, and enjoys being part of a collaborative, boutique team.

As we head into Memorial Day weekend, let’s all take a moment to remember and pause.

To honor the lives given, the sacrifice made, and the courage that shaped the freedom we live in every day.

I’m reminded that even the simplest things, light pouring through a window, gathered spaces, a sense of home, and the ability to create, design, and do work I love, are privileges built on that sacrifice.

We are forever grateful.
