Hey Tangle friends! I hope all is well with you and you’re getting to create beautiful things this holiday season. Just popping in to tell you I am back on Main Street with a little houseplant and gift shop inside of Out West Books called There Will Be Flowers! Christina works at the bookshop too so the Tangle duo is back together again! I’d love for you to give my little shop a follow and I hope to see you soon on Main Street. —Allison 🌱💫❤️

Hi friends! Allison here. Just wanted to pop in and share the pattern I’ve been using for cotton masks. If you don’t have access to bias tape, you can make your own with 2” strips of fabric.

I (Christina) had a dream........and Allison made it possible! She made me part of Tangle right from the start when she asked me to work for her and teach lessons. One year later, I was brave enough to ask her if she would take me on as a partner. What hard work but oh so much fun it was from then on. Being able to pick yarns that were oh so yummy, bags that were so pretty and what ever else we decided to carry in the store! Thank you dear customers for brightening up the days over the last 10 years, and all the ones that went with us through everything until the end, we couldn't have done it without all of your support. And of course thanks to all our great teachers, good job on all those wonderful classes. I learned so much during this time, opening up to people, problem solving, organizing, decorating.......but especially embracing the computer and finally an iPhone!! Thank you so, so very much Allison, for taking me on this wonderful journey!!! And now, on to the next one!

140 Ouray Ave

I (Allison) opened Tangle in 2006 in a tiny, yellow house on Ouray Ave. In 2007 Christina joined me as my business partner. We moved to Main Street in 2008, which was a big risk that paid off in great ways. Over the years we expanded our fabric, added embroidery and hand dyed wool fabric. We started teaching weaving and rug hooking and appliqué in addition to our knitting, crochet, embroidery and sewing classes.

Thanks to our wonderful customers, we were able to send thousands of hats to our troops and hundreds of little sets to the hospital for preemies.

We knit sweaters for lots of trees, park benches, parking meters and the Downtown art program, Art on the Corner, several years in a row in collaboration with the Downtown Partnership.

And we had award winning holiday windows. (Really! We won a window decorating contest one year!)

It's sure been a good run. Goodbye Tangle! Thank you for always being a place that felt safe and cheerful and for all the relationships you gave us. 💗

Our last day, tomorrow, July 2nd — Tangle's last day is tomorrow. Everything that's remaining in the shop is 50% off. The remaining samples are 25% off. Patterns and books are 75% off.

It's been a great ten years and we're thankful to all of you, our wonderful customers.
