Wyatt is on duty in the store on Wednesdays. Come on out to see his smiling face, talk glass blowing, see the glass they have available in the store and make your plans to take a Friday class or attend a Saturday demonstration.

One of our sweet customers purchased this adorable book over the weekend for one of their littles and messaged me that she had purchased it on National Pasty Day ♥️

We are still working into the summer season, but we are back with plants on the porch, old favorites, and new products!

Happy holiday weekend!

We are still settling into a pattern with our delightful changes in schedule helping watch the grandbaby! 🍼
It takes a village UP here to raise our families.

 Our summer helpers do not have full availability until mid June with there personal schedules so we are going to be flexible to fit everyone’s life. 

We are open today 11 AM to 5 PM and will be open some hours on Sunday/Monday… just drive on by and if the flag is by the road, we are here! It’s a pretty drive on out this way, even if you find that we’re wearing one of our other hats and working in the garden, the chicken barn, etc. 🧢👒🎩

We will have our popular pansies on the porch today 💐

Wyatt of Michigan Hot Glass Work Shop has arrived and supplied us with their beautiful Christmas Trees…yes, that is a different season but it’s recommended you get them while you can!

We have new products and old favorites in the store, including our snack favorites, more arriving every day. 🥨
We are now stocking Northwoods Sugar Free Rootbeer 🥤

Your Memorial Weekend plans may include a nightcap and we have the perfect one for you! This Espresso Martini canned cocktail is the real deal! Long Road Distillery does a top-notch job translating our favorite cocktails into a can. Available in Grand Marais only at the Mercantile!

The week preceding Memorial Day has arrived, signaling the start of summer and a jam-packed schedule of end-of-school madness, graduation ceremonies, lawn care crises, and prepping for the nation's 250th birthday party! 🇺🇸

This is your reminder to save the date and make your plans for Grand Marais' epic 4th of July parade and fireworks - lineup starts at 12:30 pm at the Grand Marais Community Center with the parade kicking off at 1:00 pm sharp!

Side note - the Mercantile will be open on July 3 with our kickoff to summer Glass Blowing and Wine/Beer tastings. As always, we will be closed July 4th to help with Grand Marais’ celebration and spend time with our families.
