🕯️🌼 Día de Mu***os | Honoring those we carry in our hearts.

Día de Mu***os is a time to celebrate the lives of those who have transcended, to remember their stories, and to keep their spirits alive through our traditions.

But this year, our hearts also hold space for those who lost their lives while pursuing the hope of a better future for their families. For those who never made it home, for families separated by borders, for children growing up without their loved ones, and for all those whose lives have been deeply affected by immigration enforcement.

Behind every story is a human being. Behind every journey is a family, a dream, and a longing for a better life.

This Día de Mu***os, we light a candle for them, we honor their memory, and we hold their families in our prayers. 🕯️

At Peteca MyCH, we believe that honoring our roots also means standing together as a community.

❤️ Throughout the month of November, we will donate a percentage of our profits to support our fellow nationals and families affected by ICE enforcement.

May we never lose our humanity, our compassion, or our sense of community.

🪶 Honoring Indigenous Peoples’ Day

Today, we honor our ancestors, the original peoples of this land, and the generations who have carried their traditions, wisdom, stories, and resilience forward.

We want to express our deepest gratitude and love to the Indigenous communities of Michigan and yo the Gran Rapids Museum for honoring the Anishinabe cultures with a beautiful pow wow and exhibit.

Thank you for opening your circles to us, for allowing us to witness the beauty of your dances, songs, regalia, and ceremonies, and for reminding us of the importance of community, connection to the land, and honoring those who came before us.

We recognize that we are guests on this land, and we hold deep respect for the peoples whose roots here run far beyond our own memories. May we continue to show our gratitude not only through our words, but through our actions, by listening, learning, supporting Indigenous voices, and honoring the living cultures that continue to thrive.

With open hearts, deep respect, and endless gratitude. 🤎🌎

I made these little bats 🦇 with so much love, patience, and excitement… trying something completely new. 🖤

They stayed in my shop for a while, and honestly? I started thinking maybe nobody liked them. 😭

Until someone came along who loved them enough to pay more for them. 🥹✨

A little reminder that just because something hasn’t found its person yet, doesn’t mean it isn’t special.

I was so happy to come across this beautiful young lady wearing the earrings I beaded back in April! 🥹✨ They were a gift from her mom to celebrate her first regalia. What an honor to see my handmade work become part of such a special moment. 😻

For my amigos who may not know, regalia is the traditional clothing and accessories worn by Native dancers during pow wow celebrations, which bring communities together to honor culture, music, dance, and generations of tradition. ❤️

Thank you, Mom, for choosing Petecas Artesanía MyCH for such a meaningful gift. It makes my heart so happy to see my creations being worn with pride and becoming part of someone’s story. ✨

Also today finally I got to join the circle to dance! And I love it and will dance tomorrow, come dance us amigos!
