🚁✨ High tech farming! Thank you to our partner GS Long for sprinkling Lacewing Crawlers across our vineyards with their drone! 🌿🍇

Some fun facts:
🦗 Lacewing crawlers eat a pest called the mealybug; we really dislike mealybugs because they spread grape leafroll virus 🍃🚫
🦠 This virus kills grapevines and makes it more difficult to get fruit ripe 🍇😟
🕵️‍♀️ The crawlers get under the vine bark, where the mealybugs hide....way better than sprays! 🌱👏
🚐 The drone has its own van for travel...yes, it is that big! 😲
🛫 You have to be an FAA certified pilot to drive the drone ✈️🎓

Friday on the Farm: Only 1 variety of Lisianthus has germinated, but I’m not giving up yet!
This weekend I plan to delve into the beautiful book that arrived today❤️

Friday on the Farm: Seeds are sprouting! I seeded 7 varieties of Lisianthus 2 weeks ago and a few leaves have popped. These babies take a lot of patience and pampering and 19 weeks before they are even close to planting in the ground: I try something new every year and this is it.

You gotta get this!! My Dad rebuilt my garden cart for me for Christmas…. Yup rebuilt!! I wore it out because we use it for everything!! This is a must tool for any small scale gardener/farmer! ❤️ Thanks Dad ❤️
