Three details that work together to make a room feel ready.

The brass faucet brings warmth and a sense of intention. The patterned Roman shade frames the window while softening light—practical and thoughtful. Painted cabinetry anchors the room with color and character. These three aren't random; they're a conversation. Warm metal, pattern, and color speak the same language, and when they're in the same room, they create rhythm. That's how a refresh feels cohesive rather than scattered.

Ready to refresh your space before guests arrive? Let's start with the details that matter most. 574.243.7601

Architects, builders, and homeowners: bring your blueprints to our studio.

Before the first nail goes in, a careful read of your plans can catch decisions that matter—lighting placement, electrical runs, cabinetry walls, flow between rooms. We review preconstruction drawings with fresh eyes, listening to your vision and flagging choices that shape how you'll actually live in the space. Whether you're building new or planning a major remodel, this early clarity saves time and keeps your project aligned with your goals.

Light hits differently when it's placed with intention.

In this home, layered lighting transforms an ordinary room into a place where every hour feels right. Overhead fixtures provide clarity for daily life. Task lighting settles into reading corners. Accent lights draw the eye to what matters. Whether you're planning a new build from blueprint stage or refreshing an existing space, lighting placement is one of those decisions that pays dividends for years. We work with our Granger clients to think through how you actually live in each room—then light it accordingly. The result isn't just brighter. It's more thoughtful.

From blueprint to move-in, we follow one new build from start to finish.

Every project begins with listening. In this six-chapter series, we walk you through the decisions, the process, and the thinking behind a complete new-build interior design. Chapter 1 is the brief—where the client's vision meets the floor plan, and we begin to understand how they want to live. No two projects are alike. This one starts here.

Follow along as we bring this vision to fruition. 574.243.7601

Sometimes the best design decision is knowing what to preserve.

These solid wood cabinets held their own for years. Rather than replace them, we refinished—honoring the craftsmanship and protecting the home's bones. That restraint allowed us to invest thoughtfully in new lighting, hardware, and the details that refresh a room without erasing its character. When you work with existing cabinetry built to last, you're choosing stewardship over waste, and your budget stretches further into the spaces that matter most.

Curious whether your existing pieces deserve a second life? We're here to help you see the potential. 574.243.7601

Design that endures isn't about filling a room—it's about protecting what matters in it.

As the season shifts and gatherings begin, we think about the homes we help build and refresh not as projects to decorate, but as places to steward. Every choice—from the layout of your kitchen to the durability of your finishes—either serves your life or complicates it. When you invest in materials and layouts chosen for their longevity, not their moment, your home stays gracious through years of holidays, dinners, and quiet mornings. That's when design becomes part of who you are.

If you're planning to host this fall, let's talk about how thoughtful choices now create ease later. 574.243.7601

Notice how the light pools where you need it most—over the island, under the cabinets, in the corners where shadows would otherwise settle.

This is what happens when lighting decisions are made early, during the blueprint phase. Recessed fixtures, pendant placement, and under-cabinet strips aren't afterthoughts here—they're part of the plan. As Michiana homeowners break ground on new builds this season, we're spending time with architects and builders mapping out where light will live, not just where switches happen to be. It changes how a room feels at 7 a.m. and at 7 p.m.

If you're in the preconstruction phase, reach out. We can walk through your lighting plan before drywall goes up. 574.243.7601

Plants have a way of bringing life and energy into a space, but did you know even faux greenery can have mood-boosting benefits? Studies show that simply seeing natural elements—real or artificial—can reduce stress and create a calming atmosphere. So if keeping plants alive isn’t your thing, high-quality faux greenery is a great alternative.
