Other than a couple of installs I am done with Orton Custom and I am starting my new job Monday. With that being said I wanted to throw some names of some guys that have either helped me out over the years or guys that can do some awesome custom stuff. This old butcher block was in pretty rough shape a week ago until I got a hold of it. Between the cracks, delaminating and it being pretty uneven it looks a lot better with some glue, clampage, sanding and some poly. I definitely wanted to keep the history/character in it instead of cleaning it up to make it look new. The customer is using it as a cool table for his mom.

I have some tough news to share. I am shutting the doors to Orton Custom. I recieved a job offer that I couldn't refuse and it makes sense for my family and I. The support from friends, customers and family that has allowed me to build furniture for a living for the last 7 years has been amazing! With that being said, I am finishing up the last few jobs in the shop over the next month and will obviously continue to stand behind my work. Thanks again for all of the support!

Here are a few of the tables I've built over the last few years. Tables are probably the most special thing I build. The memories that are made around our dining table are priceless. So many board games played, amazing meals shared, laughter with the kiddos, stories with the grandparents, serious conversations, homework, sketches for projects, etc. We seriously spend a ton of time around our table and I love that I know our table will keep making memories as the years go on. These tables will be passed down for generations. If you want a beautiful table that fits your house, fits your family I would love to help you create something. I am with you from the beginning of the project till the day I deliver the table. Thanks for the support!
