Are you ready for the “Rumble”? O!Well, more like a “hummmmmm”. Or perhaps maybe just a constant Buzzzzzzz!

Today the House of Four Roses heads over to Reedsport, on the beautiful Oregon Coast, for the annual Father’s Day CHAINSAW FESTIVAL, where for 4 days, chainsaw carvers create the most amazing masterpieces……all made from a big ol’ hunks of wood.

House of Four Roses joins other local vendors at the event, offering our own “masterpieces” of handmade items/gifts. I will be there with my one-of-a-Kind wind chimes, made from repurposed silver teapots. Here’s a few newer pieces I have created just for this event.

So, if you’re wondering what to do for Father’s Day this year… perhaps take a leisurely drive to Reedsport and discover first hand, the fabulous and most amazing chainsaw carvings you’ve ever seen.

I just sent out a post a few minutes ago, but I forgot to show you some other fun projects I just finished. I can’t stop looking at them because they are just so darned pretty. Can’t wait for them to find a new home and see what room they end up in. Oh….and I also posted photos of my booth at the last show. Feel free to like and share.

I know……I know…… I’ve been missing in action for quite a while. I was hiding out creating wind chimes (as well as other creations) for my first show of the year, “Barnstormers Vintage Fair (April 8-9)”. It was like cramming for a college exam. The event was very well attended and I was so excited that my chimes were just flying off the rack.
I know this post is after-the-fact, but I’d still like to share my creations with all of you visiting my pages at the House of Four Roses, where everyone is part of my extended family.
(As always….I don’t post prices because FB gets a bit jiggy about that kind of thing.). If you see something you like, just shoot me a pm on Messenger and I’ll get right back to you.
So….here you go……..ENJOY!

This is not near as many windchimes that I normally post. But shows have kept me on my toes and these are selling as fast as I can make them. Here is a round of my new batch. Last weekend they finished up a lovely little show at the quilt show in Hugo, Oregon. Had a lot of fun there and saw many many repeat customers.

This weekend I’m trying to gear up for the barnstormers vintage fair. It is a three day event (Oct. 8, 9, 10) held at the Jackson County Expo in Central point. Not only will I have my melodious windchimes there, but I have lots and lots of antique and vintage items that I hope to send off to new homes before the show is over.

If you plan on attending, make sure you go online and get your tickets ahead of time. Trust me it will save you a lot of headache. Everything will be indoors this year in two different buildings. There will be a couple of food vendors available in the parking lot right between the two buildings in case you were wondering about that. My booth is going to be located in the main building, near the rollup doors, that are on the freeway side of the fairgrounds. Please come by and say hi.
OK, I have windchimes to be making so I better stop flapping my lips and get busy doing that. Hope to see you there.

Go ahead and laugh……but I was bored and playing around in Snapchat a bit and here I am! Movie Star ready! Lol.

Just thought I would give some updates on upcoming activities.but first…..
My most recent show was the PIRATES OF THE PACIFIC festival in beautiful Brookings on the boardwalk. The weather was absolutely perfect and attendance was at an all-time high. I was delighted that about 30 of my wind chimes found new and loving homes. Now I’ve got to get really busy right now and make some more of them for my next show which is only 2 weeks away in Bandon.

Update: I just found out that the Bandon Cranberry Festival, scheduled for Sept 10-12 has been cancelled due to COVID.

My next show after that is the Bay Area Fun Fest in Coos Bay. Scheduled for Sept 17-19. Keep fingers crossed that it will go through!

See….today’s post is short and sweet. Now…..let’s hope the rest of my day goes just as well. Ta Ta.

Ahoy Ye Land Lubbers!
ARRGGHH ye gettin' ready lads & lasses!

Get out of the heat and smoke by making a weekend trip (Aug 13-15) to the beautiful coastal town of Brookings, Oregon where you can enjoy 3 full days of the 2021 Pirates of the Pacific Festival!

At the bottom of this post, I’m attaching a list of the festivities and activities that take place.

I’ve been busy making up several new windchimes special to this event. And of course I’ve attached photos of my newest creations that will be available there at the show. If you wanna find me, just look for the shiniest and listen for the noisiest booth on the boardwalk.
I’ve also attached some photos from the 2019 pirate festival. The groups of people in the photos are actually my family members that dressed up and came to join in the fun. Costumes are not required, but so many people are dressed up that no matter what you come looking like it will fit in.

I hope to see you all there. If you mention that you saw my post on Facebook, remind me to give you the 10% off your wind chime purchase.

Most of you have only seen my wind chime creations on here, but my other not-so-secret life is my love of papercrafting/scrapbooking. I worked on these keepsake cards all weekend. They turned out soooo pretty. I’m so delighted with them that I had to share these photos on my page. Cards are also beautifully decorated inside. Each card comes in a clear card box or a clear envelope. These cards run from $5-$9.

I’ve been cranking out wind chimes like a champ! My last few shows have been excitingly successful and I’m adding new items to my inventory daily. I know I’m behind on the task, but today I finally took time out to post some of those creations. I may have to add a second posting because I am limited in the number of photos I can attach.
As always, if you see something you like/interested in…..just send me a message, I’ll look it up and give you the price. I don’t list prices on Facebook posts. Enjoy! Hope to see you st some upcoming shows.
FYI: my next show is the PIRATES OF THE PACIFIC festival in Brookings, ORE Aug 13-15 and then following weekend (Aug 20-22) is the BLACKBERRY FESTIVAL in Sutherland, ORE. (Other shows in Sept & Oct, but didn’t want to overwhelm you with too many dates to remember). Would love to see you there. If your available to attend, mention that you saw this ad and get %10 off any wind chime.

So happy to be out doing shows again now that we are all being released from COVID jail bit by bit! In April, I had a couple of spectacular shows, back-to-back, and I LOVE that 60+ wind chimes found new homes of their own with people who will love them as much as I do ! (I know, corny!)

Of course now I have to buckle down and hide out in my Castle-of-Craziness. My Studio-of-Silliness. My workshop-of-Wonder! Here’s a sampling of some of my new creations. Some normal. Some.......a little out there!

To all of my newer folks just finding my page......if you see something you like, just send me a message (including the picture) and I’ll let you know if it’s still available and the price. I don’t publish prices here because FB is a little touchy about things like that. I’m more than happy sending you the info.

Thanks for taking the time to look through all these. Hope you enjoy them!

Merry Christmas to all of you. As a small independent business, I appreciate all of you as customers, but more importantly, I consider you family. Each time someone purchases one of my “creations”, they take a bit of me home too (hope that doesn’t creep anyone out too much. Lol).

This year has been “different” for each and every one of us in many “different” ways. It’s amazing to see how resilient we are and how we choose to respond to all the obstacles we find in our path. It’s inspiring to see people step forward and to step up to the plate in times like this.

I know that life-as-we-knew-it, will not snap back into place anytime soon, but eventually I’m hoping the new year resumes a bit of normalcy, because I’m really looking forward to seeing many of you again at festivals, fairs and bazaars. I mean, after all, according to my own way of thinking, we’re related now. Aren’t we?

So here’s wishing you all sorts of Happy Holidays between now and until we run into each other again. See you soon.
(((Air hugs)))
