Happy Birthday to the man who makes this company possible! Kyle is the heart and soul of everything he does. He is kind, loyal, honest and goes above and beyond. He works 15+ hour days and his phone never shuts off. (I’m not going to lie, I wish it would shut off occasionally) So grateful for him and all he does.

Please keep an eye out for this trailer. It was stolen last night from the West Valley area. It belongs to one of our installers.

It’s a Continental Cargo trailer 7x14 has Oregon plates and a blue lives matter sticker with a blue and red line on the back door. Driver side of the door in the rear has a Red Bull dog sticker with bulldog trailers name on it.

We had quite the week in Midway. Kyle’s crew spent the week installing full spread hardwood. The first few pictures are from the week before when we hauled the flooring to the job so it could acclimate. The rest are the final project. After the floors were installed we covered them and created paths so that they would be protected while the rest of the house is finished. It was a lot of work but they turned out beautiful.

Hey there!
I guess its about time to introduce ourselves.
We are Kyle and Katherin Monks and we own Monks Construction. Kyle grew up all over the US but has been in Utah the longest. I grew up in Payson and haven’t traveled to far. We started Monks Construction almost a year ago and it has been the best choice we ever made. That is besides marring each other. 😉
Kyle is the boots on the ground. You will often see those boots in our pictures. He is an incredible craftsman with an eye for perfection. He doesn’t believe in cutting corners. And he will go above and beyond to get things just right. Often for free. He loves to dream big and loves being his own Boss.
I’m the silent part of the partnership. I run the social media and the computer. I left my job in healthcare to drive a truck and trailer for hours everyday and as crazy as the change felt it has been more than worth it.
We love our small but growing business and all of our customers.
We will introduce other members of our crews as we go along.
Know we are grateful for you. Thanks for being here. ❤️

We closed out the year with some beautiful hardwood. With a little accent herringbone in the dinning area. We are so grateful for what this year has brought us. And we are so excited for what 2022 had planned. Stay tuned. Big things coming! 🤯😍

If you have stairs like this don’t call us! 🤣😉 Kidding! Kyle deserves an award for the most patience though. Having stairs that are open ended + multiple angles is very time consuming and takes a lot of perfectly measured cuts. His craftmenship is impeccable!

Happy Thursday!
We did this job in Syracuse yesterday. Most people become hesitant about changing their flooring because they are afraid the project will take weeks. We understand how hard it is to have your home out of order so we do our best to get the job done as quickly as possible. This job was around 900 sq feet and had tile, carpet and vinyl tear out. And we replaced it with LVP (luxury vinyl planks). All in a LONG days work 💪🏼

We finished a restoration job in Midway today. Lots of intense demolition with this job. You will notice some caulk residue around the bottom of the log posts. That is from the previous floor. The previous installers laid the floor on top and caulked the gaps. We prefer for everything to look flush. So we take the extra time to “undercut” which makes it look like the wood posts were installed after the flooring was laid. The end results makes us and the customers have all the heart eyes! 😍
