Do political events lately have you feeling helpless, hopeless, and angry? Are you as concerned as I am about the loss of American values if trump wins in November? Do you have kids who deserve a future free of fascism where they have actual freedom to be themselves?
I'm keeping my pitch short, but please, if any of those scenarios describe you, I implore you to get involved.
An easy first step is to see if there is a local chapter of https://indivisible.org/ that you could join.
I volunteer to do things like writing letters and postcards when I am able. I donate a couple bucks a month to help the cause.
The US is looking a lot like Germany in the 1930s. If you've ever read about WWII and wondered why regular people just let it happen -- this is your call to action.
Is Joe Biden a wonderful perfect answer? Nope. He's a small step in preserving America's democracy. That's what I'll be voting for... Not the man, but instead the hope that we'll still be allowed to do better for our country in the future.
