As we wait for warmer days, we’re drawn to spaces that invite true indoor–outdoor living and slow the pace of everyday life. Outdoor rooms are so often treated as an afterthought, especially when it comes to pattern, texture, and visual interest. We believe they deserve the same level of intention and care as the interiors they extend—screened porches designed to feel layered, curated, and seamlessly connected to the way we live inside.

Today I turn 28, and I can’t help but pause and feel incredibly proud. Proud of the risks I took, the vision I trusted, and the team of talented, capable, hardworking women standing beside me making this dream real every single day. We just received sneak peeks from a recent studio shoot captured by the incredibly talented Abigail Fenton, and seeing these images felt like such a full-circle moment. Four years ago, this studio was just me, one desk, big ideas, and a lot of hope. Today, it’s filled with incredible people, thoughtful ideas, and so much hard work. I’m so excited to step into this next year surrounded by a team that inspires me constantly.

We recently listened to a special on the Scandinavian concept of hygge, the art of cozying down and finding comfort in the everyday. It’s a reminder that our homes don’t need to be perfect or overdesigned to feel meaningful. Hygge is about creating spaces that foster warmth and joy: settling in with a book or a puzzle, lighting a candle as the day winds down, and savoring the quiet, simple moments that make home feel like home. When a space is designed for you, your rhythms, your habits, your version of comfort becomes so much easier to truly cozy down. Thoughtful design removes friction, inviting you to slow down, exhale, and fully enjoy being exactly where you are.
