Hamburger Stew

* I make my recipes large because we love having leftovers. So you can adjust the recipe to your liking *

~ 5 lbs of hamburger (I like a more meaty stew) browned and season to taste.

~ 1 bag of Yukon golden potatoes (you can use any potatoes you like, I prefer the golden ones) peeled and cubed

~ 1 cup of white rice

~ 3-4 carrots peeled and sliced

~ 1 bag of sweet corn

~ 1 large can of undrained petite diced tomatoes.

~ beef broth

~ browned your hamburger and then mix all the ingredients in a crockpot on high for 4 to 5 hours or low for about 5 to 6 hours.

~ You may season your stew to taste

Grandma’s Meat Loaf

Grandma never measured anything, so I don’t either.

3 Lbs Hamburger
1 Lbs Italian jimmy dean sausage (you can use whatever flavor you like)

2 Eggs

Worcestershire sauce (a few good dashes)

Whatever spices you like (I use Alpine touch, and pepper)

Crackers (crumbled very finely)

Ketchup (I just a Dollop)

Mix everything together well and put in 2 loaf pans, bake in 350 for 45 minutes - 60 minutes.

Mashed Potatoes

1 5 Lbs bag of Yukon gold potatoes. Peeled, and cubed. (You can use potatoes of your choice I just prefer the Yukon gold). Boil for about 30-40 minutes.

Dash of milk or heavy cream

Butter

Ranch dressing (Just a dollop)

Sour cream (just a dollop)

Salt and pepper to taste.

Once potatoes are doing boiling drain and mix everything together with your potatoes and mash them up. So tasty!!!

Crockpot Chili!

Hey guys! Tonight I have Chili on the menu. Now I look a good hearty chili and plenty for leftovers! So tweek the recipe as you need to. For the veggies add what veggies you prefer.

I set my crockpot to cook on low for 8 hours.

3 lbs of Hamburger seasoned as you like, browned, and drained

1 lbs of Italian jimmy dean ground sausage (use the flavor of your choice) browned and drained.

1 bag of frozen corn

1 large can of petite diced tomatoes (not drained)

2 regular size cans of Pinto beans. (1 drained, 1 not drained). Some people prefer kidney beans which is also fine.

1/2 white one finely chopped

1 of each Green, Orange bell peppers finely chopped. (I like some color to my chili)

1 64oz v8 tomato juice (I use original, but I also like the Spicy hot)!

2 packets of McCormick mild chili seasoning

Mix everything together in the crockpot and let simmer on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours!
