Last year, Isla and her parents came to The Shops on West Ridge to meet Don Alhart and get the book, Sibley's Christmas Adventure, signed.
While meeting Don, Isla told him that one of her favorite parts of the book was when McCurdy brings Sibley back to the North Pole.
She then asked, "What happened to McCurdy?"
That simple question has inspired Don's new book (a sequel to Sibley's Christmas Adventure), "McCurdy's Christmas Surprise."
The new book is coming out very soon, and Don is dedicating the book to Isla.
Don recently met Isla and her parents at The Shops on West Ridge to get a picture together to be used on the new book's dedication page.
The Shops on West Ridge is planning another book sale and signing with Don this fall.
Proceeds from the new book will benefit the Rochester Rotary Sunshine Camp.
