🏗️ Project Update: NCLA Performing Arts Building 🎭

Progress is moving full speed ahead at the North Carolina Leadership Academy Performing Arts Building in Kernersville, NC!

The foundation has been poured, masonry walls are going up, and the building is beginning to take shape on site.
With each passing week, this future home for creativity, learning, and performance becomes a little more real. We’re grateful to be part of this exciting project and look forward to sharing more updates as construction continues.

We had the honor of attending the groundbreaking for Revolution Academy Upper School and being part of such an exciting and meaningful milestone.

We are so excited to see this vision come to life as the new campus takes shape. We are truly grateful for this project and the way it will foster learning, creativity, and growth for the students who will one day fill these spaces. It is an honor to be part of something with such a lasting impact.

✨ Celebrating Wendy and tipping our hats off to Eric and Rick! ✨

We gathered together over lunch to celebrate Wendy’s incredible 26 years with our company while also surprising and honoring our founders, Eric and Rick, on their retirement as well. It was such a special time spent reflecting on the amazing legacy each of them has helped create.

We are so grateful for the many years Wendy dedicated to our team and the lasting impact she has made on everyone here. Her hard work, loyalty, and kindness will be greatly missed, but we hope retirement brings her so much joy, relaxation, and new adventures! 💙

We are also incredibly thankful for the company Eric and Rick built and the strong foundation they created over the years. Their leadership, vision, and dedication shaped not only this company, but also the culture and relationships that make it such a special place today.

The lunch was filled with laughter, stories, memories from over the years, and plenty of fun inside jokes that made the celebration such a memorable experience. It was a wonderful reminder of the friendships and family that have been built throughout the years.

This year, we are proud to celebrate Dean Schimmenti’s 20-year work anniversary and recognize the incredible impact he has had on our team, projects, and company culture over the years.

As our Principal Architect, Dean leads by example through his kindness, thoughtfulness, creativity, and deep knowledge of architecture and design. He is often at the heart of our creative and artistic brainstorming sessions, encouraging collaboration and inspiring innovative solutions to complex design challenges. His passion for great architecture and thoughtful design has helped shape both our projects and our firm into what it is today.

Beyond his talent and leadership, Dean is someone our team can always count on for guidance, encouragement, and support. We are incredibly thankful for his dedication, vision, and all that he continues to do for our company each and every day. 👏✨

Progress Update! 🏗️✨

Construction is continuing to move quickly at the JMP Corporate Building in Greensboro, NC, and it’s exciting to see more of the building take shape each week.

With the structure now standing and additional exterior progress underway, the overall form and scale of the building are really starting to come to life. What began as drawings and renderings is steadily becoming a physical space, and it’s rewarding to watch the vision unfold on site.

A huge thank you to the entire project team for the continued hard work and progress. We’re looking forward to sharing more updates as construction continues. 👏

Happy 3-Year Anniversary to Katie Sweet ✨

As our Architectural Designer and Managing Partner, Katie brings so much creativity, passion, and heart to everything she does. Her fun, quick-witted, and caring personality makes the office such an enjoyable place to be every day. Whether she’s collaborating on a design challenge, sharing creative ideas, or simply being someone you can talk to, Katie is always there for our team.

She has an incredible eye for design and is constantly looking for ways to learn, grow, and push creativity even further. Katie is often the person we turn to for design input, encouragement, or just a good conversation, and our office is better because of it.

We are so grateful for all that she brings to our team and can’t wait to see all that’s ahead for her.

Grateful for a memorable trip filled with learning, collaboration, and beautiful surroundings ✨

Thank you to Interior Elements and Scholar Craft for hosting us at Mulberry Farms in Alabama. We loved the opportunity to explore how thoughtful educational furniture can support student engagement, enhance well-being, and adapt to a variety of learning styles.

Touring the learning center was a highlight of the trip. It was inspiring to see these educational solutions in action and experience firsthand how they can shape dynamic, effective learning environments.

We’re so appreciative of their hospitality, and the incredible views the farm had to offer made it all the more memorable 🌿

A look back at a transformation we still love ✨

Take a stroll down memory lane with us as we revisit the before + after of the Tabernacle Baptist Preschool in Hickory, NC, completed in 2024.
What was once a traditional red brick shopping center has been reimagined into a updated and welcoming structure designed to support learning, growth, and community.

Inside, we reworked the layout to function more efficiently for day-to-day school operations, while brightening the space with warm whites and layering in playful yet calming blues and greens to create an environment that feels both stimulating and nurturing for young minds.

It’s always rewarding to see a space evolve into something that truly serves its purpose 💙💚

Setting the tone from the outside in ✨

For Revolution Academy, the exterior material palette was thoughtfully selected to set the precedence for many of the interior finishes. The warm grey and soft white tones of the EIFS create a clean, timeless backdrop that seamlessly blends with the interior paint selections, blurring the line between inside and out.

We paired this with warm white brick, whose subtle variation and texture beautifully complement the wood accent panels, adding depth and warmth to the overall design.

Grounding it all is the use of black metal elements, bringing contrast, structure, and a modern edge that ties the entire composition together.
