We use many different techniques in concrete including, traditional wetcast, GFRC, Engineered Cementious Composites, ferrocement, plaster, fabric forming, and much more. We are always finding new and unique ways to make strong, enduring pieces with concrete. Using these techniques, virtually anything can be created, from flat slabs of countertops, to detailed 3D shapes like fireplaces, sinks, furn

iture, shower stalls, anything! Colors and patterns are also unlimited using techniques like, staining, resists, al fresco, etching, metallic pigments, pearl, exposed aggregate, mosaics, and much more. These concrete elements are a living surface, they will continue to harden for thousands of years, over time, the colors age, cements crysatalyze, and stains occur making them ever-changing pieces of art! We recently did a stair job. I hate seeing joint, so of course we had to do it the hard way with no exposed joints.

This beauty has been under drop cloths for a few months, I’m excited to see everything finished! We started with an Iron Ore base coat plaster with a light, laced texture. Then burnished and polished with metallic pewter wax.
