Our mission is to promote creative expression, environmental awareness, and community engagement through education, reuse, and the arts. We supply teachers, makers, crafters and artisans with affordable goods through donations from individuals and industry. We envision a world where all non-trash items see a second life through art and creative reuse. Our Make-N-Take Lab is open Thursday-Saturday from 10AM-5PM and Sundays 12PM-5PM. The cost is $6 a maker.

TODAY’S THE DAY! 🤩 Here’s how Reconsidered Goods’ 10th Anniversary Birthday Bash Fundraiser will play out:

🛒 Stop by our store for a sneak-peek at what we’re doing and to shop as normal from 10AM - 2PM

📦 We will not be accepting donations today. Bring all your donations to us next Tuesday, October 13th

🎉 THEN, join us at 4PM where we will open our doors back up to the community!

🎟️ First, stop by our Welcome Table & Ticket Booth Station to be greeted, have the activities and map gone over, and purchase your tickets at $5/each

🛍️ Come to the Perfect TEN Tote Bag Sale Station to pick up your limited-edition RG tote bag for 2 TICKETS, which includes 10 complimentary items with purchase to fill up your bag! An associate can explain the rules of the sale in more detail

🧱 Make sure to go to the Community Mosaic and Birthday BASH station, where you can participate for 2 TICKETS and smash some tiles and plates - in addition to placing some of the pieces onto a community mosaic piece, cementing you as a part of RG’s history

👕 Grab a limited-edition Reconsidered Goods t-shirt, where you can choose from 1 of 4 designs made by local artist Peter Day to screen print yourself on the back of the shirt at the T-Shirt & Screen Printing Station for 5 TICKETS

✂️ The Education Studio will be craft-galore at the Make-N-Take Station, where, for 2 TICKETS, you can be assisted by RG Education & Outreach staff in making some fun craft items

🖌️ There will also be face painting AND fairy hair for event attendees, each at their own dedicated station, where, for 3 TICKETS and 4 TICKETS respectively, you can help support local artists and showcase your creative side for the evening

🖍️ Stop by the FREE coloring book station, where you can color to your heart’s content and take a giant coloring book home with you

🍷 There will be a special showcase FREE to view that focuses squarely on Reconsidered Goods’ important mission, and there will be delicious food, b**r, and w**e to enjoy all while partaking in our fun community event

Tomorrow’s the big day!! Less than 24 hours until our 10th Anniversary B-Day Bash, and we are busy preparing for the biggest party RG has ever had! 🥳

Come out tomorrow, rain or shine, for food, drinks, crafts and shopping! The party starts at 4 PM and goes until 7 PM. See you there!

We took a little field trip to Cut The Music Prints this week to check out the shirts that Peter is cooking up for our 10th Anniversary B-Day Bash 🥳

Peter Day is an amazing artist and prolific screenprinter based right here in Greensboro. If you’ve spent anytime in Greensboro, you’ve definitely seen his work; CTMP prints posters, shirts and more for all kinds of local events and organizations.

Peter isn’t just printing our new shirts, though 👀 He’s going to be at our B-Day Bash on Saturday helping people print their own RG shirts with a variety of different custom designs to choose from!

So, if you want to learn about screenprinting and print your own 1-of-1 RG tee, come out on Saturday from 4-7 PM!

Sorry, we just had to flex 💪😎

HUGE thanks to the amazingly talented Gina Elizabeth Franco for designing this one-of-a-kind work of art for the official Reconsidered Goods van 😍

Gina is Greensboro-based artist—you’ve probably seen her murals here in town and all around NC—and we jumped at the chance to work with her on this project! She transformed our humble little van into a mobile piece of local art that can travel with us everywhere we go in the Triad (and maybe even beyond 👀)
