If you know, you know. And if you don’t… that’s why you hire us. 😉

Building a custom home involves a whole lot more than choosing pretty finishes. There are hundreds of technical decisions happening behind the scenes, and knowing what to ask, when to ask it, and how it all comes together makes a BIG difference.

You bring the vision. We’ll speak the language.

Now booking new construction projects for 2027!

Good taste is just part of the job. Knowing how to get things done is where 20+ years of experience really comes in.

A good designer knows what looks right. A great designer knows how to make sure it actually gets done right.

And sometimes that means telling a room full of grown men exactly how it’s going to go. 💁‍♀️

Even after all these years, I am often still in awe at the incredible transformation that comes from wallpaper! Both these spaces were charming architecturally, but the addition of mural and a ceiling paper immediately elevated in a way paint can’t do.

Bathrooms ask a lot from a relatively small space.

The layout has to work. The lighting has to flatter. The materials have to tolerate water, steam and daily life, and every finish still needs to feel like it belongs in the rest of the home.

When those decisions are made together from the beginning, the finished room feels beautiful without sacrificing function.

Pretty is the payoff. Planning is how we get there.

We love our Hartness clients! 🧡 Especially when we get to be part of the entire process, from new construction selections to the very last layer of furnishings.

There’s something so rewarding about seeing years of planning come together in a beautifully finished home.

A little behind-the-scenes from today’s photoshoot. We can’t wait to share more of this one with you soon!

Blue and green? Low-hanging fruit.
We already know they work together.

But add a hit of Chinese red and suddenly the room goes from pretty to Elle Decor.

That third, slightly unexpected color is often the difference between a room that coordinates and a room that feels designed.

Turquoise + olive + Chinese red.
I said what I said.

The best thing about having a designer? We always know a guy.

But more importantly, we know which guy needs to talk to which guy to keep your project moving.

One little cabinet change can mean updating the cabinet maker, plumber, builder, drawings, pricing and schedule.

You see a pretty kitchen.

We see 147 conversations that made it happen.
