March is International Woman’s month. A month to celebrate women. We thought what better way than to highlight some of the amazing women of the Bible.
These women are so important in shaping who we are today.
So each week we will be highlighting a woman from the bible….today it is a woman who literally shaped mankind.
As part of this celebration, we will offer jewelry, devotionals and whatever else God leads us to share with you.

A True Celebration of Women: What is a woman?
The world is currently at odds attempting to answer that exact question. Some point to biology, some point to feelings and self identification, but the answer was given 6,000 years ago by our Creator when He created man and said, “It is not good that man should be alone, I will make a helper for him.” And the world was given the first woman: Eve.
Eve was to be everything Adam was not and everything he needed; perfectly created by the One Who knows what’s best. Eve was handcrafted from the rib of Adam by the hands of the Father. She was not a woman because she felt like one in her mind. She was not a woman merely because of chromosomes. She was a woman because God had specially formed each and every intricate design of her body, mind, and spirit. Adam and Eve were together in harmony and unashamed.
Yet, the enemy was watching and hated what God had created because he hated God Himself. And so the deception came and Eve yielded to the lies of the enemy. And that mistake is what has led us to the troubles we currently face every day. Chief among the troubles is sin. Despite Eve (and Adam) being the route through which sin entered the world, a promise was given through her—her Offspring would crush the head of her deceiver.
It is easy to point a finger at her without acknowledging that we fall victim to the same lies. Instead, let’s look at her story and rejoice in the hope given—we have been set free because her Offspring, Jesus Christ the Messiah, has indeed crushed the head of her, and our, deceiver. It is because of that truth that we, like Eve, can press on despite crushing blows, heart wrenching failures, and failed relationships. We rejoice because the relationship that should have been completely lost has been reconciled—the one with our Heavenly Father. And in Christ, we are entirely forgiven, accepted, and empowered to move forward despite the shame of our past.
