Hi, friends. I know it has been a while.
These last few months, mom and I stepped back to slow down, be present with our family, and to adjust to our new normal.
I’m not sure there’s a perfect way to say thank you for the grace you’ve shown us, but I couldn’t be more grateful. For the messages, notes, the meals, the patience, and for simply understanding why we needed this time.
The store has always been a special place for me, but now it holds even more meaning. It was there we found out Daddy was no longer with us. It was there our closest friends came to hold us and carry us through the days, weeks, and months that followed.
For the first month, the store ran itself, thanks to our incredible team, who never asked anything of us and knew exactly what to do in our absence. More recently, the store has provided the distraction and the routine we so desperately needed, and in the last couple of weeks, we have begun to find our rhythm again with the store and with design, both providing us inspiration and comfort.
Daddy was so proud of Lagniappe, our little block of 3rd Street, and our small town of Leland. So, we plan to continue doing what we love and what made him proud.
Our account will still look like Lagniappe, but there will be a bit less perfection and a bit more real life. Because life is messy and beautiful all at the same time.
Thanks for waiting for us. We can’t wait to share this next chapter with you. 🤍
