Many things in Feb and thought I'd have time to post about them… somehow it's already today. 😆

I'll still be going to vendor events, about 6 events planned this year. Trying to slow down my pace a bit and hope to create more unique stuff along the way~ (last year 2025: 20 events completed🧐)

Back in February, I turned off international shipping on Etsy due to complicated customs rules. And honestly, it feels like a long story in my mind, even though it all actually happened within one week.

I had originally set my shop for tracked international shipping only, which means EXPENSIVE, so I didn't expect many orders from outside the U.S. One day I got an order from South Africa. The customer even upgraded the shipping option, so I thought, hmm she must really like my jewelry and can't wait to receive it :p

After Googling some South Africa shipping cases from other Etsy sellers, I realized… ohhh the post office might not be a good option, and it could take a very long time to deliver. So I asked the customer if she'd prefer using a private carrier like DHL. She agreed.

Then I signed up on a DHL page in German (Deutsch)… only to realize it was for Germany domestic shipping only 😂

Finally I found the correct page, entered all the information, and got the shipping quote: around $200!? (plus another $20-$40 duty due upon delivery)

At that point I was like… !!!?!!

She had ordered one bracelet, and I just don't expect customers to pay a crazy amount for shipping that costs way more than the jewelry itself. So unfortunately I had to cancel the order. It made me feel a little sad… but also thankful that people from so far away found my shop. 🌍✨

Anyway, after taking two international orders (Australia and Canada), we now offer U.S. domestic shipping only. 🥲

I recently started a new hobby: painting

Back in elementary school, I took an art class just a 3-minute walk from home. The only thing I remember clearly is watching cartoons before class (Doraemon at 6 pm, my childhood "nothing else to watch on TV" option). One day we were asked to draw with a blue pen, and I was like, "What?! I need colors!" Not long after, the teacher moved away and my art journey ended there.

Now, because I still love colors, I bought some markers just for fun. Since I always write thank-you cards for online orders, I decided to design my own. So if you ordered recently and saw something a little childish...it wasn't Noo Noo, it was me (only revealing it here 🎨).

Fun (sad for my cousin) story: I used to walk to art class with my cousin, and there was an aggressive dog that always barked at us. One day the dog ran out of the house, my cousin fell and cried, and I ran straight home… sorry, Steven!!!😅🐈

Friday before the snow ❄️

Shipped all orders today due to the upcoming snow. Among the packages, I had a wonderful chance to make a custom order for one of my flower customers. It's actually my first time making matching earrings (thanks for the inspo pics!). I usually make beaded flowers using two lines, but this time, for the earrings, I used just one thread (new technique unlocked!). It ended up looking much more elegant once the set was finished. After taking the photos, I realized the matte beads with dusty overall colors felt especially fitting under today's cloudy sky.

After dropping everything off at USPS, I went for a short walk. The roads hadn't melted yet, and I could feel the ice and surroundings slowly absorbing my energy…which brought back memories of my days in Colorado. Hmmm snowy…still can't quite get used to it

Stay warm, my friends⛄️

Happy (belated) New Year :p
Looking back at 2025, I still feel so grateful for everything I've done, both at local events and online. Thanks to my customers, I was able to prove to myself (YES!! My sense of beauty really exists, and people love my jewelry!!) and also had the chance to create custom orders using my own creativity.

Now stepping into 2026, I've decided to focus even more on my work. I'm satisfied with what I accomplished last year. About 80% of the ideas in my mind were turned into real pieces and listed online. This year, I want to experiment with more materials while keeping things dainty. So I'll probably be sharing more work notes on this page. :)

Week before Thanksgiving: Flowers ready to ship!

After a stay-at-home (aka no-event) weekend, I feel blessed to be supported by my customers again :)

This year, I created several Christmas-themed bracelet designs using all kinds of beads. I realized any bead can find its purpose one day lol. I've bought so many, especially the ones that catch my eye at first glance, but some have lived in my workspace for over a year.

I guess we all have our own blooming timing. We're different, but we all bloom eventually.

11/13/25 "Little" project: The smallest bracelet so far :)

Got a request from a customer who's gifting for her niece and her 1–2 y/o baby girl.

Every time I make kid's bracelets, I just fall in love with how tiny and cute they look (a minimalist lover like me can’t resist lol).

Though I did accidentally cut the chain too short for this one, which made me remake the whole bracelet (since the chain couldn't connect from beginning to end haha.

Hmm…my mental math needs some practice now 😅

Another colorful project this week - custom name keychains 🎨

The customer is so lovely (and a super cute bride-to-be!). She just asked me to ship them before her wedding next year, so no rush lol.

She let me freestyle the colors while giving theme shades for each of her friends. I initially thought I could finish in three days, but it ended up taking around six days, including lots of color testing and trials (and realizing I have way too many colors.. :p).

I really enjoyed my slow work tempo this week. No events, just colors. Feeling grateful for her trust.✨And truly appreciate this chance to create these cute little things 💕

One note about the jump rings: I'm currently using ones I bought from Michaels. Probably because of the way I opened them, they didn't close as neatly as I wanted. I'm considering trying other brands.

A project I worked on in recent days...(actually still owe 6 bracelets for her due to lack of materials :p

Thanks to my customer for providing me with this chance :)

*****WARNING! Gonna be emotional below lol*****

Well… knowing Etsy from chatting with other vendors, I started taking it seriously around August last year. I have to say everything has two sides. While the fees keep getting higher haha, I've also met many awesome customers on the platform.

I initially just listed some anime earrings and didn't expect them to get noticed so quickly. When I started adding more bracelets, I began receiving more orders. Now I feel so blessed that my jewelry has become part of people's special memories.

I've become a little greedy. I want more people to see my work. I dream of opening a gift shop: one where a gentleman can find something unique for his wife, and where a mom can pick a cute gift for her daughter.

Yes, I want to create things that are dainty but unique. That's still my goal. Even though I've been feeling a bit out of inspiration lately, I'm still searching for the beads I've been dreaming of. I'm so glad many customers like what I make, and I'm grateful that we met.

We are in our final stages of planning! If you have some free time Saturday, we need one more adult golf cart driver. Also, if you have any uncarved pumpkins to get rid of, please drop them off on our porch. We will use them for decoration, then make sure they go to animals that need them. Vendor map will be emailed in the near future!
