Inktober photo No. 6: Another Completion Photo. Here we have a drawing for built-ins surrounding a fireplace that is tiled with thin pencil-glass, to produce stunning results. Again, some of the dimensions we're discussed and varied slightly once installation took place, but it's always nice to see what ink and paper can still accomplish in today's digital world.

Inktober photo No. 5: Not one of my best sketches, but it got the job done. We decided to run the marble-look 12 x 24 porcelain tiles on a straight grid rather than an interlocking pattern to create a more modern look. We discussed different ways to run the bench seat, and in the end we decided to go with a beautiful linear mosaic from the shower floor. Keeping the tiles simple, we were able to pull off a nice modern look while using more transitional fixtures. Love this semi-polish tile by . A big thank you goes to and for a job well done.

Inktober photo No. 4: Deviating from interior design a bit with a little rough-draft graphic design for another logo. As with the interior stuff, much of the original ideas start as sketches on paper before they are worked up into digital formats.

One of my more traditional residences needed something classic and transitional to give it a slightly more modern update. Here we have a custom mirror designed to be constructed of found live-edge wood cuttings, a simple iron candelabra chandelier, and a pair of spherical topiaries to compliment existing table and decor. Suggested a wall finish done in decorative paints in broad horizontal bands of subdued green and sand.

Inktober picture number two. This client had an oversized double sink that was styled with space in the middle for a chair to pull up to a vanity. The client never used the vanity space but the countertop only became a collection spot for lots of clutter.
Our solution: Have a carpenter build a central tower that houses a swing-out laundry hamper below and doubles as a medicine cabinet and linen closet above.

Inktober you say? I may be a little late to the draw here (you see what I did there😉), but I figured I might join my awesomely talented cousin's and , and drop back to some more old-school hand-drafted stuff for the majority of this month. A lot of teamwork went into this design for the recently relocated so please enjoy another look if you've already viewed a similar post before. (This will be the first time I have officially posted these wonderful photos by with details.) A modern convergence of styles came together to produce stunning results for this showroom. Since the client specializes in luxury pools, patios, and outdoor living, we wanted to alude to that with finishes and natural materials that easily reflected water and outdoor elements. , , and worked closely with us at to bring out the beauty and shine of this remodeled building on Congaree Rd. Example of the transcendence of art and design in interior design. During a total makeover of this client's cabin bedroom, we simply lacked one decor item to complete the project--- the main art piece. Working within the constricting space allowances, it quickly became extremely difficult to find the right themed piece of art. That's when it became evident that it was time to employ some of my art skills. Copying key elements of a blurry old rowboat blueprint, I painted this print on tea-stained canvas, completing the project on time and exceeding client's style expectations.

I'd like to thank my husband and his help for another great welding job. They replaced the old curly features (leaning against wall in top tight photo) that dated this Mid-Century house with a new architect panel. Looking forward to market the house soon!
