You asked, we answered: we are excited to announce that we now carry Sashiko embroidery thread, needles, and pre-printed linen fabric! What is Sashiko, you may ask? Sashiko is traditional Japanese hand-stitching technique used to reinforce, mend, or, heck, just decorate fabric to make it your own. Using heavy-weight cotton thread and longer-than-normal needles to allow for running stitches, Sashiko embroidery takes the ordinary and makes it one-of-a-kind...and that, our friends, is something we love. Happy Things We Love Thursday!

Reminder: No meetup tonight! We'll be closing at 4pm today (Thursday, 9/3) and open during regular hours (11am - 4pm) Friday - Sunday. See you soon!

Sorry, folks - life has gotten busy, so we'll be closing at 4pm tomorrow (Thursday, September 3)...which means no Maker's Meetup this week. Sad, we know, but fear not - you can always join us next week with your latest WIP. In the meantime, visit us 11am - 4pm this Thursday - Sunday at 87 Main Street in Greenwich!

Holy smokes, it's week! While we love fried dough as much as anyone else, our favorite part of the fair is seeing the amazing wool and fiber creations everyone has spent the last year working so hard on...and it's even better when we recognize some of them! Congratulations to everyone who entered and a HUGE thank you to all the volunteers who work so hard to keep this amazing tradition going. YOU are all who we Love This Thursday!

**Speaking of the Fair, we'll be there tomorrow in the 4H building hanging out at the Wool and Fiber display from 9am - 12pm - so stop in and say hi! And since we'll be there, the shop will be opening a bit late, so you can find us on Main Street from 12:30pm - 4pm (most likely covered in powdered sugar from the fried dough booth.**

Yarn may not grow on trees, but around here it certainly dries on them! We've been busy in the workshop coming up with new colorways for fall, so if you haven't been in lately, this is your sign to stop by the shop and check them out...because seeing fresh Idlenot Yarn blowin' in the breeze is definitely one of the things we love! Happy Things We Love Thursday!

We're pretty sure we've shared this as a Things We Love Thursday in the past, but it seems like we've had a lot of folks come through the door having a few more downs than ups lately (both big and small, and ourselves included), and darn it, it bears repeating. And yes, while this is a shameless plug for an awesome banner from that we have for sale at the shop, we also have been reminding ourselves of the meaning behind it from the sweetly brilliant Ted Lasso himself:

"Belief doesn’t just happen because you hang something up on a wall. All right? It comes from in here (in your heart). You know? And up here (in your head). Down here (in your gut).

Only problem is we all got so much junk floating through us, a lot of times we end up getting in our own way. You know, crap like envy, or fear, shame. I don’t want to mess around with that s**t anymore. You know what I mean. Do you?…

You know what I wanna mess around with? The belief that I matter… regardless of what I do or don’t achieve. Or the belief that we all deserve to be loved, whether we’ve been hurt or maybe we’ve hurt somebody else. Or what about the belief of hope? Yeah? That’s what I want to mess with.

Believing that things can get better. That I can get better. That we will get better.

Oh man. To believe in yourself. To believe in one another. Man, that’s fundamental to being alive. And look, if you can do that, if each of you can truly do that, can’t nobody rip that apart."

So there you go, folks. A super long post for this week, but we hope you find space to believe in yourself and those around you, whether you're facing something good or bad. ♥️
