Locus Design survived Take Your Kids to Work Day!!
This fun group of kids did a scavenger hunt, made Lego creations, filmed a movie and definitely didn’t keep the rest of us from getting our work done!

The mountain-inspired logo became the central design influence for our client’s new office space. It was reflected in the earthy palette, organic shapes and textures, and calming aesthetic. To bring it all together, we focused on biophilic design and added custom living plant walls that bring the outdoors in — energizing the atmosphere while improving air quality and well-being. We were thrilled to work with SVP on their new space at the iconic West Putnam Avenue in Greenwich, a building known for the circular footprint. We worked with the curve by creating a round corridor to split the offices from the open work area, featuring one very impressive continuous round lighting fixture that runs the whole circumference of the building. SVP wanted a mostly white, fresh, bright space. We achieved that by layering in rich white and neutral textures and finishes and giving a little contrast with sting black framed office fronts. The result….stunning!!

Licking off the year with something fresh and new!! We were thrilled to work with SVP Global on their new space at the iconic 100 West Putnam in Greenwich, a building notorious for their circular footprint. We worked with the curve by creating a round corridor to split the offices from the open work area, featuring one very impressive continuous round lighting fixture that runs the whole circumference of the building.
The company wanted a mostly white, fresh bright space. We achieved this by layering in rich white and neutral textures and finishes and giving a little contrast with strong black framed office fronts. The result... stunning!

We are excited to celebrate one year with this guy on Team! Meet Michel Uribe who hails from Columbia by way of Spain. After studying Interior Design at the School of Design in Madrid, Michel spent many years designing hotels, airports and restaurants before joining us here at Locus. He enjoys the small details of the construction process. When he’s not designing, he is traveling and enjoying food with his wife and two young children. Happy to have you on board, Michel!

We recently worked with an asset management company on their move to a new space. The overall design was influenced by the company’s branding which took inspiration from the world of aviation, which was this company’s roots. Our design evolved into a sophisticated and elegant space focusing on the ideas of simple lines, unique angles and a neutral palette.

The new owners of 30 East Elm, an old colonial in a prime Greenwich location, came to us to help transform the building -with many old historic details- to a modern and fresh office space. The results….remarkable!! Swipe through to see the “before” for each of these incredible spaces!

Meet Marielle! Our amazing intern hailed from the university of Miami (the real one in Florida!) and spent the summer with us working hard! She’s a Greenwich native, one of four kids who loves country music. She’ll be going back for her third year of architecture shortly and we will miss her dearly…she was a huge asset to our Team this summer!! Best of luck Marielle!!
