This is a really good story. The heart of it is adaptability and thoughtful design — not just making something beautiful, but making it work for real life. I tightened it up, cleaned up the flow, and made it sound a little more polished while still sounding like you.
This recently completed home has such an interesting story behind it.
The homeowner was new to Greenville and purchased this brand-new home, hiring us to fully furnish it from top to bottom. We wrapped up the project just before the holidays and were preparing for installation when we found out he may be taking a job back home.
Because he was still undecided on whether he would keep the house, we moved forward with the installation anyway… wallpaper and all.
After a bit of back and forth — and a video call to discuss next steps — he ultimately decided to keep the home as both a rental property and a place for himself to stay during visits to Greenville. So, we quickly pivoted.
We replaced heirloom-quality rugs with machine-made options, swapped out the gorgeous custom bedding for more practical stock pieces, and added an extra bed to maximize functionality for guests.
The end result is still incredibly charming and unique, capturing a classic colonial feel layered with warmth and personality — but now it also serves as passive income for the homeowner.
Design should support the way people actually live, and sometimes that means being flexible enough to evolve alongside life’s unexpected turns.
