Don’t ever discount the fifth wall. 🤩

While working on our client, Lauren’s, living room, Paige kept looking at the stairway and saying how amazing it would be to wallpaper the ceiling. And thankfully Lauren trusted Paige’s vision, because just look at that end result! 😍

A showstopper of an entryway. 😯✨

The entryway can (and should) completely change the feeling of a house. It’s the first glimpse into showcasing your personality.

Featuring Scout Design Studio ®’s AWDH X Scout Custom High N’ Tight Console and Recon Chest (both lacquered 😍). Mixing bold finishes and unexpected pieces to create an entry with plenty of personality. 👊💥

We recently had the chance to volunteer with our friends at Closet Connections • Custom Storage Solutions for an incredible nonprofit, Humble Design Detroit.

Humble Design helps end homelessness by furnishing homes for individuals and families transitioning into stable housing.

Alongside their talented team of designers, we had the opportunity to furnish two apartments for two individuals. We’ve always believed in the power of design to transform lives, and this experience gave that belief an even deeper meaning. Being able to help create a space that feels safe, comfortable, and truly like home for someone transitioning into a new chapter was incredibly special. We’re so grateful to have been a part of it.

And there are so many ways to get involved!
✨ Donate gently used items to their Southfield warehouse; they also pick up at your door!
✨ Shop their Amazon or Target Wish List
✨ Donate to our fundraising page through the link in our bio
✨ Or participate in your own Deco Day

Getting a tour of Humble Design Detroit warehouse in Southfield.

Loading up the van from the warehouse. Humble’s designers speak with the residents beforehand to learn about their lifestyle and preferences, then thoughtfully select items from the warehouse to furnish and personalize their new home.

Unloading at the new apartments.

Getting to work setting up. When participating in Deco Day, you help in anything from unpacking the kitchen, to setting up the bathroom, to displaying art, and more.

We were thankful for John and Jon Closet Connections • Custom Storage Solutions who were able to hang everything!

Apartment #1 before.

Apartment #1 after (she loves the color purple 💫).
