🌻Flower Camp Q&A🌻
📥 What are the age ranges?
🌻 We offer the following camp age ranges:
🖤Mommy & Me - Ages 3-5 accompanied by a parent or guardian.
🖤Blossom Buddies - Ages 5-12 - campers may be left with staff but parents are always welcome to stay behind if campers are a little shy! Kids MUST be potty trained to attend.
🖤Flower Friends - Ages 13-17 - these camps are targeted to teenagers.
🖤Adult Classes - Ages may range from 13+, 18+, or 21+ depending on content and/or status of alcohol being welcome to be brought in by class attendees. Alcohol is ONLY allowed in 21+ classes.
📥 Is flower camp just for girls?
🌻 NO! Flower camp is for EVERYONE!! We have lots of boys who sign up and love it!
📥 How much do camps/classes cost?
🌻 You sign up online for EACH session that you wish to attend. You may attend one or all of our camps/classes! They will range in price from $25-100 depending on class content, materials supplied, etc. Most camps will be an average of $50 per session. We try to make flower camp as affordable as possible!
📥 How long do camps last?
🌻 Mommy & Me/Blossom Buddies camps will last for 3 hours each and go from 9AM-12PM. Flower Friends camps will be from 2-4PM. Adult classes will vary in length and time but we try to keep them sequestered to Fridays/Saturdays and they last from 2-3 hours each!
📥 How do we sign up?
🌻 We will have our entire catalogue of classes posted next week on our website. They are first come first serve for entry so please communicate if signing up with friends! You must sign up on the website and fill out the associated questionnaire about the student attending. If we have enough demand we have left room to open up additional and/or private classes!
📥 Are employees certified to work around my kids??
🌻 Employees working with flower camps with any minors will be first aid/cpr certified. All employees assisting with camps have undergone a background check and most have a background with childcare/babysitting/etc. Parents are required to fill out waiver and release forms, provide emergency contact information, and notify staff of any allergy or medical issues that we need to accommodate. We have a fully stocked first aid kit on site. We only provide allergen free snacks and dye free drinks for lunch time. Parents are also more than welcome to stay! Our owner also has lots of experience with working alongside special needs children.
📥 What about your shop pets?
🌻 Please be aware that our team does consist of both humans and animals! We currently have two shop cats and a dog! All animals are very kid friendly. The cats love attention and cuddles. Our golden retriever also loves laying under the table and keeping a watchful eye over her students! We do allow the kids to interact with the pets! Please be mindful of this as you sign up for classes!
📥 Where do camps and classes take place?
🌻 All activities will take place at our storefront at 4320 Lincoln Avenue in Groves! We do a small breakaway session to take the kids to visit Stacked Bakery next door to us at 4318 Lincoln Avenue. We do not leave our little side of Lincoln Avenue!
📥 Do I need to send anything with my child?
🌻 We recommend dressing your child in clothes that are okay being stained with paint, dirt, etc. The shop is COLD - please send a jacket or blanket with your kiddo. They are more than welcome to bring any snacks or drinks with them. We usually suggest a water bottle. We will provide goldfish crackers and capri sun for snacks!
📥 What is the student to staff ratio?
🌻 We are planning to open 10 seats in each class. Depending on our activity we will have 3-4 staff members present at all times. A minimum of 3 staff members will work each camp.
Please leave us any questions you may have concerning kids camp or drop your favorite memory below! We are SO excited!
