Quick timelapse of a 3D printed Mikikyu I did recently!

I think the print turned out really good! There is a little bit of tuning I still need to do for bridging and overhangs, but other than that I feel I’ve got settings pretty dialed in!

I’m really enjoying the Snapmaker U1! There is practically no waste, aside from a prime tower, and color changes are so quick! This print only took about 12 hours!

Here’s what I made in the shop today!

I didn’t spend a ton of time working today, but I did manage to get two pairs of 3/4” circles and two pairs of 1” circles made!

The 1” are made of Yellow Heart, Beech, and Padauk.
The 3/4” are Purple Heart, Beech, and Walnut.

These will have gold hooks (still 304 stainless steel, but gold coated). Just waiting on them to be delivered in a couple days.

Added a new tool to the shop. Nothing terribly fancy, but it’ll do exactly what I need it to… which is drill straight holes! This will help reduce the potential errors!

As far as tools go, it was affordable, has a quality feel to it, and has some decent features!

I look forward to using it on my future projects!

Say hello to our NOT so little friend! 😝

This is basically the perfect piece for entertaining on “Game Day!”
Includes a center bowl that could house snacks, or dip for the snacks!

Made of walnut, cherry, and maple, and boasting a nice thick profile, this board is sure to last for a long time.

Could you see yourself using this on your game days??

Picked up some awesome pieces of wood today!! Thank you, Scuttlebutt Woodworking! Everything looks even better after I blew off the dust! 😍

From left to right, Black Limba, red Zebra Wood, Cherry, Purple Heart, Peruvian Walnut, Beech, and Padauk.

I haven’t worked with most of these, so I am very excited to finally have some more exotic woods to play with! Adding these colors into my products is going to be awesome!

We added a new line of products here at Against the Grain!

With some inspiration from Brambles Woodwork, I was able to design and create a few options of earrings! I don’t think I will ever put out as beautiful of a product as they do, but that’s ok! 😊

I do have more designs on the way, and over time, I expect to have many different options available!

Here’s the most recent batches of boards from the shop!

A beautiful mix of curly ambrosia spalted maple, walnut, and cherry woods. I am absolutely in love with these ones!!

I took a different route for some of these than I had in the past, offering some smaller boards, different shaped boards, along with some made of only one piece of wood. In turn, I am able to offer these boards at a more budget friendly price.

I took some inspiration from Chefdudeboards, whose boards I absolutely LOVE to see! I am so happy to see the success he has achieved!!

I hope you all enjoy these boards as much as I did making them!!
