Pour the melted chocolate mixture into the sugar mixture and stir to combine.
Add Dry Ingredients:
Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
Chill & Fill:
Cover the dough and chill in the refrigerator for 15 minutes to firm up.
Once chilled, scoop the dough and form into balls. Press a few extra chocolate chips into the center of each ball and enclose them within the dough.
Bake:
Place the dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the tops are glossy and cracked.
Cool:
Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
