🌿 A Little About the Girl Behind Old Soul Vintage Co. 🌿
I realized recently that I’ve shared a LOT of vintage treasures with y’all, but I haven’t really shared much about the girl behind the finds. So I thought it was time to change that. 🥰
Hi! I’m Kurstie. 👋🏻
First and foremost, I’m a mom to three boys. 💙💙💙 And yes… our house is every bit as loud, chaotic, messy, funny, and full of love as you’d imagine. 😂
I also homeschool all three of my kids, which is a huge part of my everyday life. Some days we’re incredibly productive, and some days we’re just doing our best and calling it a win. 😂 But I wouldn’t trade all the extra time I get with my boys for anything! 🩷
When I’m not momming or homeschooling, I work at our family car lot doing title work. So between paperwork, school, kids, and everything else life throws at me, somehow I still find time to chase old treasures. 😉
And that’s where vintage comes in. 🧺
I actually started this little adventure with my wonderful mom, and it has grown into something so much bigger than either of us expected.
Then my boyfriend came along and, somewhere along the way, he fell in love with vintage and antiques too. 😂 Now he plays a HUGE role in our business and is just as invested in the hunt as I am.
So what started as something my mom and I shared has become this really special little family adventure. ❤️
But vintage isn’t my whole world.
🌱 I LOVE gardening. There is something about growing things from the ground, getting my hands dirty, and watching something you planted actually grow that makes me ridiculously happy. Also love canning my own food and baking and making everything from scratch that I can! 🩷
🌊 I LOVE the beach. Give me sunshine, sand, salty air, and the sound of the ocean and I’m a happy girl.
🐕 I LOVE animals. Pretty much all of them. 😂 And one of my biggest dreams is to someday have a little farm of our own.
🏡 And not just any farm… I have visions of a beautiful old farmhouse, surrounded by land, gardens, animals, probably way too many flowers, and a whole bunch of things I’ll insist on keeping because “IT HAS CHARACTER!” 😂
💪My goal is to turn our antique shop into a little something more and add a bakery and coffee shop. A woman’s 3 favorite things, a coffee, a sweet treat and shopping for all things old!
And of course…
🧺 I LOVE OLD THINGS.
I love the history. I love wondering who used something before me. I love the craftsmanship, the colors, the imperfections, and especially the thrill of finding something amazing where nobody else thought to look.
But honestly, the things I love most aren’t things at all.
They’re my boys.
My family.
My mom.
My boyfriend.
The people I’ve met through this crazy vintage journey.
And all of YOU who follow along, encourage me, buy from me, share my posts, or just enjoy seeing what treasure we dug up this week. 🥹❤️
