This project was so near and dear to me. It’s one of the first projects I was ever asked to be part of. It’s been several years but I was over at this lovely family’s home last week and the vintage textiles we had framed still make me pause in my tracks because I just adore them so much. Find art for your house that makes your heart skip. You will love it for years and years.

A moment of appreciate for these chairs. Truly the perfect chair for reading the Sunday paper. Seeing my clients hang with their family in their new room was a major highlight of the weekend 🫶🏻

Setting a pretty table might be one of my favorite things to do. I think it all started when I was around age 12 and my mom put me in charge of the cornucopia on Thanksgiving. I really took the task of filling that thing up with fruit and nuts very seriously 😆 I still love adorning a table with those simple ingredients.. the slow task of gathering simple dried bits and bobbles from the garden, considering the guests that will soon be gathering.. lighting taper candles high and low. It’s my opinion that every dinner conversation is truly more special by candlelight.

With the holiday season among us, I feel acutely aware that this time of year doesn’t always feel joyous for us all. It can be a painful reminder of what once was or what will never be. As one friend put it today, life can be so mean and it doesn’t pause for the holidays. I do hope that wherever you find yourself this year, that you may have moments of slow, moments of reflection and moments where you feel loved.

We were in New Hope this weekend for a family wedding and we were exploring the town when I stumbled across ’s studio. No one was there, but I was so giddy to just peek into the windows of where she creates. Imagine my surprise when in the midst of me telling Steven about this artist I have long admire ans she walked up to me and invited us inside. I was moved to tears seeing the collection of her work in person and getting to meet her and chat about the creative process and our shared desire to create something beautiful and true in the world. Thank you .. it was a gift to meet you. If you don’t subscribe to her newsletter already, I highly recommend it. It’s one of my favorite things to receive in my inbox.
