From broken-down to back-to-life 🌸

This caned-back chaise arrived a tangle of broken springs with wood so rotted it couldn't even hold a staple. So before a single layer of new fabric went on, I rebuilt the frame itself, retied 25 springs, then layered in burlap, edge roll, cotton, Dacron, foam, and more cotton and Dacron before finishing it in the client's dusty-coral textured weave.

Same little chaise. Ready for slow afternoons again. ✨

Have a piece you've been afraid is too far gone? DM me, that's where I start.

The DIY plot twist 🪑✨

Our clients fell in love with this antique settee and thought, *we can do this. Eight months later... stripped down, re-stained black, springs sagging, fringe disintegrating, and not enough fabric to finish... so they called me.

I pulled out everything the previous attempt had done, re-webbed the frame, retied every spring, layered in cotton, Dacron, and foam, and strategically pieced the paisley they'd chosen back onto the front and seat. A cat-proof gray velvet was added to the back and sides (her cat had a vote), and black gimp trim hides every staple.

Same settee. Brand-new life. ✨

Thinking about a project you've been afraid to finish? DM me, that's exactly what we're here for.

Same little rocker. A whole new generation. 🪑✨

This antique child's rocker came in dressed in a worn, faded tapestry with tired fringe trim — sweet bones, but ready for a refresh. We brought it back in a fresh new floral tapestry, a cream background with botanical blues, greens, and a soft hint of gold that lets the original wood frame shine again.

The kind of piece that gets passed from one kid to the next, then tucked away in a corner until someone decides it's time. That time was now.

Twenty-five years in, and this one still stopped me. 🪑✨

An antique rocker came in with all its carved wood beauty still intact, but the seat was stripped down to nothing but the burlap webbing. We rebuilt it with 3-inch thick foam for real sit-in-it comfort, then wrapped the seat in a gold textured weave finished with double welt cord in the same fabric.

The shape alone is something I've never seen before... that fanned, scrolled back almost looks like a throne. Probably one of the most unique chairs I've ever worked on, and now it's ready for its next chapter.

These aren't 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 drapes. 🎶

This client is turning the room into a home music studio, so every panel was interlined 𝘢𝘯𝘥 lined to act as a sound barrier. Custom-made pinch-pleat draw drapes, a decorative traverse rod with an espresso finish on the rod and finials, all in a multi-colored neutral tweed flecked with cream, brown, and black.

One room. Three windows; a patio door, one very large window, and a smaller window. All dressed to match, and all quietly doing acoustic work behind the scenes.

This is the kind of detail you only get with custom: drapes that look beautiful 𝘢𝘯𝘥 solve a problem. Sound dampening, light control, ceiling-height proportion... all built around the room itself.

A quiet cream chair walked in. A whole personality walked out. 🪑✨

Before: a soft, plain cream upholstery... Pretty, but blending into the background.
After: a cream-and-taupe geometric weave that turns the same frame into a statement piece. Same lines. Same comfort. A completely new conversation in the room.

This one came in alongside a queen headboard for the same client (see the last reel 👀) Proof that a single fabric change can take a piece from "fine" to "favorite."

DM if there's a chair in your house that deserves a second act.

One panel. One quiet upgrade. ✨🛏️

This queen-size headboard came in with three tired, stained panels and left with one clean, continuous stretch of cream herringbone - a soft texture that lets the dark wood frame do the talking. Same bones, brand-new mornings.

DM to start your own room refresh.

A century of craft, reborn ✨🪵

A 100-year-old rocking chair came to the workshop stripped of fabric, still cradling its original horsehair and hay stuffing on hand-tied springs. A textural multicolored woven fabric in cream, rust, olive, and gold was selected to honor the chair's vintage soul while bringing 75 pounds of antique craftsmanship into a modern room.

Same hands. Same heart. Same by-appointment door.

Just a new home for it all.

Friends, the move to West Allis is real and it's coming, but the craft you've trusted for 14 years isn't going anywhere. The same eye for fabric, the same hand-tied seams, the same conversations about what you want for the piece you love. All of it makes the trip with me come mid-July.

If you've been sitting on a project, now is a great window. I'm taking appointments in Hales Corners through the move and I'd love to get yours on the calendar before the boxes start stacking.

Two chairs, one bold story 🌸✨

These re-store finds came from different design eras but were united with a vivid contemporary floral fabric on the backs, alive with green peacocks, coral blooms, and deep navy branches. A solid melon woven seat pulls the pink straight out of the pattern, tying the two silhouettes together with one shared palette.
