Huckleberries closed shop this past summer as I'm in the process of opening my own Store by this coming Spring.

If you liked Huckleberries inventory and style, many of the same products lines will be available in THE MERCANTILE and VINTAGE MARKET located at 510 North Main Street, South Boston, Virginia!

Well, we did it folks! Tom and I were moving beasts yesterday as we cleared out my 2 booths at the Antique Mall, maneuvering tight places like a champ, and carrying everything like the Clampitts over to my new store. This tea towel from my Huckleberries inventory said it all!

If you didn’t know, a few weeks ago I bought a building on Main Street in downtown South Boston that I’ll be opening next Spring. First, it needs some renovation and build out to house Antique Dealers and to create my dream of owning my own little Country Store! The Mercantile portion of the store will have gifts, home decor, and useful household items displayed in my favorite country store pieces! Think old scales, Lance jars and anything Coca Cola and you’ve got my vibe!

I restocked all the scents I had requests for* and added a new scent Nag Champa! I think it has a more woodsy smell—try the tester while you are in the store and let us know what you think! 🪵 🧴 🐝

*Kaitlyn, the Staff that happens to be my daughter, shared a customer request with me and I couldn’t recall if it was the Grapefruit or the Vanilla Rose you wanted…..so I restocked them both. Hope you’ll see this and stop by! 🧴 🥀 🐝 🍯

As 2021 comes to an end and I reflect back on the previous year while making plans for the year ahead, one thing will remain constant – my appreciation for all the wonderful customers that support Small Businesses here in Halifax County, Va. Thank you, everyone for all your support in November at our annual Christmas Open House and Small Business Saturday! It was a great month; so appreciate your business!

I’ve restocked candles and melts (even added a couple new scents!) and brought in a few more new items, please stop by!

I’ll be working today, 7th, and will have Naked Bee lotion samples for today’s customers as a thank you! I’ll also be posting a sign for a furniture sale that will start today, only lasting until Christmas, for 15% off! Look forward to seeing you!!
