I swore I was going to be back into the swing of things once summer was over and my house was mostly mine again, but life had other plans. We said our final goodbyes to my grandpa last week and I’m finally starting to feel (almost) okay. So I will be back to regularly scheduled baking. Which means I will be taking orders all weekend.

Thank you for all of the understanding and support you’ve given me since I started baking. I appreciate you all so much.

This pic is one of the father/daughter dances my grandpa took me to one of the times my dad’s work schedule conflicted. Look how sweet and cute he was! That Hawaiian shirt should have gotten an award!! 10/10

Sorry for the late post, but after a very hot week in Branson, we came home to our ac not running. We luckily got it back up pretty immediately, but it definitely didn’t help me quickly get back into the swing of things. So I’m taking orders tonight and tomorrow. After spending like 8+ hours in the car with the whole fam, I am having “girl dinner” in bed at 11pm, after finally getting all my wound up kids fed and in bed. Cannot recommend homemade sourdough for girl dinner enough!!

I have a personal event this week that I’m baking for, so I will only have a limited amount of plain large loaves and bagels available, so message me with your order before noon tomorrow! I will try to accommodate everyone that orders, but I will be giving priority to the orders placed first, so hurry!

I know it’s been a while since I have been in the kitchen, but things have been so busy lately!! I have been enjoying a new, part time position as Mobile Unit Manager with Smokey Blue BBQ for a while now and have finally found a groove where I feel like I can balance both the food truck life and my baking passion. So going forward, I will be taking orders on Sunday until midnight and limiting my pickup window to Friday after noon and Saturday after 10a. I really appreciate everyone who has supported me so far, now go submit those orders before midnight!! I can’t wait to bake for you!

THE KITCHEN IS CLOSED ALL WEEK!! I am off celebrating my 10 year anniversary with my husband in Kentucky. I will be back next week!

Did you know that you can turn your oven into a fancy, expensive proofing box by turning on the light for a while with the door shut?? These single digit nights and mornings were no good for my dough. So, I’m so glad the sourdough community taught me this little trick and I get to share it with you!

🔥 Hot tip- keep a thermometer in there with the dough and flip the light off once it gets like 78 (cause ovens are sometimes too good at holding heat 😂) 🔥

Time to show off my bakes from last week.

I got the best reviews for my cinnamon rolls. I’ll quote one directly, “The Cinnamon Rolls were the best that I have ever had. I ate 3!!!” This was the first message that I got that morning and it made my whole day!

Following pictures include: white sandwich bread, garlic herb bagel, plain bagel, and last BUT NOT LEAST the jalapeño cheddar bagel!!
