This is how I spent some of my time during quarantine...a furniture project. This is the before and after of a Midcentury modern Drexel heritage dresser. Not every piece of furniture is worth fixing up. I look for pieces that are in decent shape and have solid construction for example dovetail drawers. The modern brass hardware gives it a fresh updated look.

So excited to see this entertainment center in the space! So thankful took on this project and painted it into this beauty. They did an amazing job! I wanted to reuse the piece since it was in decent shape, just scuffed up and dinged. I didn’t want to go back with a wood stain since the flooring changed to wood and it would have been too much wood in the space. Now it just needs accessories....

Entryway to the ADPi suite at Miami. I ordered a buffet to give them more storage because you can always use more. I went with a large mirror because the entry area doesn’t have as much light. The mirror helps give the illusion of more light and space with the reflection.

Finishing up some of the last little pieces of this project. The piano bench needed to be reupholstered, scroll to the last picture to see how it was done before. 🤦🏼‍♀️ I can’t say these women were’t resourceful by using duct tape. I had no idea that was how it was attached until I turned it over. 😂 I removed the last 2 layers of fabric and reupholstered the bench with a neutral tweed. @ Cincinnati

Suite Renovation, pretty close to done. I’m still waiting on a few things. I’m hoping the ladies of ADPi enjoy their new suite. I’ve included some before pictures in the album too so you can see the change.

Furniture is in for the ADPi sorority suite. You know in the show Fixer Upper where Joanna is placing all the accessories and it’s dark outside. That’s how I felt last night when I took this picture at 9pm. Although, I wasn’t accessorizing or decorating. I was pushing furniture around and ripping tags off. 😂

The custom metal sign came in for the suite. Ignore the background, I put a piece of matboard under it to make it stand out. I’m super excited to get it installed. Many thanks to Alex (one of the Delta members of ADPi) for designing it for us.

Went with more budget friendly pieces for this office. It’s not going to be used heavily and they needed storage since their space was lacking in that department. The wall above the desk is going to be a gallery wall with artwork that represents their sorority (ADPi).

Seeing the furniture come out of the boxes is probably my most favorite part of my job! ADPi we have your diamond cut out of the backs of the chair with this gorgeous Maharam fabric.

Now this is starting to look like an awesome laundry room. I was even able to add in some doggie art since it has such a great dog washing station. .

I got a sneak peek into ADPi’s sorority suite today at Miami. It’s been under construction for a year and it’s almost time to move in. As much as I didn’t want to pick one of the 3 building standards for backsplash tile because I didn’t like any of them. This one is neutral enough that it doesn’t bother me so much. 😂Looking forward to getting the furniture installed soon! @ Miami University
