The flow in question: a detailed plan, 47 backup plans, and a team ready to figure out whatever construction throws our way!

That’s the funny thing about remodeling. You spend so much time planning every detail, and then sometimes the house and life has other plans.

As a design-build team, we’re constantly balancing the two. We plan, we pivot, we problem-solve, and in the end, we figure it out!

A common feature in homes built in the 90s is a really small shower, so when we remodeled this bathroom, one of our goals was to enlarge the shower without totally re-locating it to make the space work better for this family.

Another favorite feature of this bathroom is the large double vanity!! When we’re remodeling a space, one of our biggest goals is to design around the way our clients actually live. This vanity has so much storage, giving each person their own space while still keeping the bathroom feeling clean and organized.

It’s just as beautiful as it is functional, which is exactly what we want in a space you use every day

Basements are some of our favorite projects because we get to take a space that’s often underutilized and transform it into a true extension of the home.

This basement bar is especially exciting for us because it was the first client project Jonathan and Caitlin worked on together!

If you’ve been following along with Episodes 1 & 2 of our story, you know that we didn’t originally start out working together. This project was the first time we decided to combine our different skill sets and see what we could create together.

Looking back, it’s pretty special to see how one project became the beginning of something so much bigger and ultimately helped shape Tri-Eagle into the company it is today.

And this bar will always be a little piece of where it all began. 🤍

Designing a cabin on a cliffside meant making the most of a pretty incredible setting.

The finished space feels connected to the landscape at every turn, with expansive windows that bring in natural light, views that become part of the experience, and materials that keep the space feeling warm and grounded.

From the layout to the smallest details, the goal was to create a cabin that feels intentional, comfortable, and completely at home in its surroundings.

LVP has become incredibly popular, in part because it’s marketed as being scratch and dent resistant. And while it may have fewer scratches and dents than hardwood, it’s not completely immune to damage. When we’re designing a home, we think there’s another important question worth asking:

How do you want it to look 10 years from now?

In a perfect world, we’d all have floors that never scratched, dented, or showed signs of wear. But no flooring is completely indestructible.

So in this video, we’re exploring how different flooring materials age over time and what we typically recommend to our clients.

Maybe your laundry room doesn’t need to be closer to your kitchen… maybe it needs to be closer to your closet.

Think about where your clothes actually go throughout the day. From the bedroom, to the bathroom, to the closet, and eventually into the hamper.

Having your washer and dryer right there can make the entire routine feel a little more seamless.

It’s one of those design choices that might not seem like a big deal at first, but once you live with it, you may wonder how you ever did laundry any other way! Would you want your laundry connected to your primary suite?

The pandemic was a weird time for all of us, but in a lot of ways, it brought some really awesome opportunities that probably wouldn’t have happened if the world hadn’t changed so drastically.

For Caitlin, one of those opportunities was making the move from commercial design to Tri-Eagle full time.
