All of this years snowflakes on display! I am so impressed, each and every one of them is a work of art -- a blending of creativity, science, antiques, engineering & mechanics, a community sharing a joy, and many daring themselves to try sewing for the very first time. From young to old, Mike and I thank everyone who participated from the bottom of our hearts... this makes us happy!

The LAST TWO SNOWFLAKES of the 2025-26 season of the Snowflake Challenge!
We will be judging and choosing winners on Feb 21st, and that evening all the snowflakes will be on display prior and during the Community Dance at the FAHC... 6-9. They will all be available for viewing and pick up both then, and at Sew Cranky for the weeks following... We will send you a text if you are a participant!

Two more days to be part of the 2026 Snowflake Challenge! Come in Friday the 13th or Saturday the 14th to add your snowflake to the community art blizzard!

Snowflakes will be judged and available for viewing at Sew Cranky on Saturday the 21st (between 1:00 and 5:00), and they will then be moved for public viewing to the Finnish American Heritage Center during the community dance that night (dance 6-9)... they will then return to Sew Cranky where you may pick them up and collect your winnings if you are the lucky winners.

Over 2 1/2 weeks left to drop in, challenge a friend, and join the fun! $4, many prizes, ... All ages! All skill levels!

Here in Hancock, for Heikinpäivä, the Hobby Horse Hoedown is not this elaborate... but it is a fun start to the sport! With Finnish roots in Hancock we incorporate hobby horse activities and Finish Folk dances, as well as a very simple "steeple chase".
