As we transform the property into The Mae House, I’m gathering treasures that celebrate its history and charm. Vintage finds, old-world textures, copper accents, weathered wood, and simple cottage flowers all could have a stay here.

Every piece has a story, and together they will help create a warm and welcoming retreat for future guests.

What first captured our hearts about this little cottage wasn’t just its location—it was its character.

From the moment we stepped inside, we could imagine a place where guests could slow down, relax, and experience the charm of historic Hannibal in a truly unique setting.

Over the coming months, we’ll be sharing our restoration journey, design choices, and the stories behind this special property as we transform it into The Mae House.

Our goal is simple: preserve the cottage’s historic charm while creating a beautiful and welcoming retreat for visitors from near and far.
