What does this verse mean to you?
When I read this, I’m immediately redirected. It’s a gentle reminder of how easily we are influenced as a society, and how often we cling to culture instead of the cross. We look to people, platforms, and validation for fulfillment, when in reality, these things only bring temporary joy. True peace comes from the Lord alone.
We live in a broken world fueled by fleshly desires and sin. Our flesh will fail us, and so will the world, but He never will. He should be our source of strength, comfort, resilience, courage, humility, contentment, and most importantly, peace.
This verse also reminds me that transformation happens through daily surrender. When we allow our minds to be renewed by His Word instead of the world’s noise, our desires begin to change, and so does the way we see everything.
Jesus + nothing = everything.
