New today at Bead in the Bone -- got a few moccasin-finish deerskins in imitation brain tan, gold and saddle brown. Added a few cubic zirconium strands to the sparkly board, and FINALLY got the seed bead board all fixed for easy and intuitive size identification. Also starting to get some chain and rhinestone cup chain out on the by the foot/yard board :D. These are available at 407 N Center Ave in Hardin until 6:00 p.m. today and 11-6 tomorrow; we're gone Thursday but back for every day of the weekend.

Good afternoon, Hardin!! 😄
We don't know about you, but over here at Bead in the Bone, we're super excited about the upcoming Crow Fair! Be that as it may, it is coming up fast, so we're just popping on today to spotlight what we've got for last-minute regalia fixes, finishing touches, emergency design changes, and quick restocks for vendor items ✨️

-- We've added a ton of gemstones (and a few faux gemstones) to the $4 & Under bin! You'll be able to find quite a bit of dyed howlite, TONS of microbeads, lots of hearts, lava beads, and much, much more!

-- We've still got a good amount of natural pink rhodonite, but it is running out fast! If you're in need, we still have some in our 16-inch strand collection, but make sure to get it quick 😉. For a little more expensive but GORGEOUS option, check out our naturally banded rhodochrosite.

-- We've still got lots of colors of rhinestone banding! These are available in both 5-foot and 10-yard lengths. If you want a color that's not on 5-foot cards, just let us know and we'll get it cut down for you 😽

-- We still have a few full buckskins left in some lovely colors, but those are also flying out so fast! More will be coming next week, but looks like they'll arrive August 12 👀

-- Just for purposes of reminders for those who were asking: we're getting seed beads sorted and out every day! We're currently working on improving the setup for easier size recognition and more intuitive shopping 😁

I've been wanting to do a microbead Monday, but we're not open Monday, so just pretend that today is somehow alliterative or otherwise fun ;). Need beads for trim, spacers, off-loom bead weaving or other such little things? Here at Bead in the Bone, we have TONS of glass and stone beads that are 4mm and under, including:

-- 3mm Czech English cut. These beautiful uniform little glass nuggets add some visual interest and a splash of vintage feel wherever they're used, and are available in roughly 100 colors right now.

-- 2mm, 3mm and 4mm Czech fire-polished beads. Precision-faceted glass beads bring a lot of extra sparkle and a sophisticated feel with solid base colors (not surface-dyed). Finishes such as aurora borealis (AB or iris), gold suede and luster appear on many of these beads, and are fired on for extra-resilient color to sustain them through years of wear.

-- Gemstone/semi-precious gemstone beads. Currently available in about 200 different smooth and faceted varieties, we have these stones in rounds, tubes, heishis, rondelles, and even stars and hearts. Popular materials include turquoise-dyed howlite, African and Chinese turquoise (still gorgeous color without the supply issue), labradorite, cubic zirconium, amethyst, peridot, and a wide range of jaspers and agates.

Happy almost-weekend! Heading into yet another *warm* next few days, we've been working on a few fun things to highlight at Bead in the Bone:

- Needles, thread and wire: Notable inhabitants of our board include glover's needles 5-packs (size 10 and 12) as well as an assortment of Beadsmith and Tulip beading needles. Textured wire, and a selection of 20 gauge smooth round perfect for earwires. High-quality braided filament, including FireLine.

- Celebrate color and change with mood beads! These are high-quality enameled resin and glass beads with incredible color range and durability, and go anywhere from color-change seed beads to single large patterned focals. Many more available than what's shown, just don't have them all hanging yet 😉

- Rhinestone plastic banding. While we still have the remnants of our stock of Preciosa banding with Austrian crystals, we now have a more cost-effective banding that's still quality but in a narrower range of colors and featuring glass crystals. Get 5-foot packs for $2.75 or 10-yard cards for $12.75. If you want 5-foot packs in a color that's only available on a big card, we'll happily cut it down for you.

- Beading foundation now includes Lacy's Stiff Stuff, ultrasuede, Beadsmith felt board, and thinner felt foundation that's great for small projects for just a few dimes and now available in many colors as well as our previously-offered white felt.

- Leather in full skins of primarily moccasin-weight deer and lamb nappa, and $10 remnants perfect for backing in a range of colors and weights. Will be more out than what is pictured.

Happy Thursday! The store is closed today, which means it's plotting time :D. Our goal is to eventually provide comprehensive start-to-finish supplies for any imaginable beading project, but it's a long road to get there. We're hard at work trying to figure out where the biggest gaps in current supply happen to be, and what else you really wish you could find readily available here right now. So if I may ask, what is the one thing you'd like to see most in this store?

New for today -- plastic rhinestone banding! This is the first decent source we've found since Preciosa discontinued their plastic banding, so we brought it to you here in 10-yard cards for $12.75 each. It is well-constructed and appears to be of similar quality to the stuff Preciosa had (a touch stiffer), but 10 yards costs about the same as two yards of Preciosa before the discontinuation and about a yard and a half after. They don't have as many color options, but what they do have has plenty of sparkle.

We have SS8 and SS6, but not many of each color so your favorites may go fast. Also got a little new glue, so throwing that picture in here since there have been requests for it :). Open today at 407 N Center Ave between H&R Block and city police from 11-6.
