I got the new control board in and have been playing with it. It seems to move a lot better than the old one. Which i think its the chip. A little bit more playing with it and then i will be back in business.

Im also using a different program for the shading. Will take some time to figure it out.

Over the past couple of weeks my laser engraver died while doing a project. It didn't seam like it was getting any power so i replaced the power supply. Swapped it out and what do you know, it still didn't want to work. Smh

So i decided to look closer at the control board. Mmmmm something smells like it's burning. Sure enough, my worst fear came true while i upgraded my laser. The board couldn't handle the increased power of the laser.

So i did some research and asking around on facebook. I have a new one ordered, but will take 2 weeks to get here. Fml. Should be good to go after that.

This project is officially done. If anybody is interested in this liquor display or if they wood want me to do a diifferent theme, let me know.

The wood is spalted maple with natural stain to enhance the grain and colors. Covered with epoxy for that glass look. The bracket and hanger is hand made for that rustic look.

Liquor bottle is for display only. It does NOT contain any alcohol.

1 14" thick
17" at the widest point
31" tall

First run with the new laser.

Well, i swapped out the laser and did a test run. I also did a video just incase it caught on fire. Lol. Enjoy.

So, i am looking at increasing my capabilities to provide more options for everyone. However, i am looking at 2 different areas and would like my followers to help in my decision.

Option 1. Get a more powerful laser to provide shading in the pictures i burn and it will allow me to cut wood with it as well. It will provide a lower cost options for each holiday.

Or

Option 2. Get a dedicated cnc machine to provide carvings out of wood.

One option is more than the other but not by much.

I think i have an idea on which way to go, but would like to hear your thoughts. Option 1 or option 2?

Over the past week i needed to put my projects on hold and put my concentrations on other things.

Now that it is done, I'm back to work on my liquor display. Have the 1st coat of epoxy on the front of it.

Edit: here is some additional pics. Look at the character and beauty it has.
