Metal and Matte Custom Automotive home furnishings, including vintage automotive furniture. I've never been a fan of anything shiny, unless it was glitter or chrome.

I started refinishing furniture out of a need to save my great grandmother's antique buffet. It was easier than I imagined, probably because I grew up in my great grandfather's construction company. I've always cherished her Victorian love seat and all things vintage as I grew up surrounded by them. I prefer rust, patina, or flat black, even on cars. From the age of 8 to 22 I was at a dragstrip or

car show every weekend. This is why I created Metal and Matte. I prefer to create pieces combining metal and wood and using matte and metallic paints. I can even paint furniture pieces to match classic cars for a custom man cave or garage. However, our main focus is custom automotive home furnishings and vintage automotive furniture. We only use pieces that would otherwise be crushed and help them live on to be enjoyed in other ways.
