Wondering what “minor prep” means in your flooring quote? It’s not as straightforward as it sounds! The type of flooring makes a big difference: carpet over pad? Minimal prep. High gloss VCT? Practically a flawless surface needed. 🤔

At FloorMax, we define minor prep as a single skim coat of floor patch, tailored to your project size and materials. If more prep is needed, we’ll discuss it as a change order once we assess the space.
